The mainstream media has spent two years relentlessly pushing the narrative that Donald Trump’s campaign colluded with shady Russians to dig up dirt on Hillary Clinton and then cheated with the Russian government to steal the election from her.
That’s not what happened.
What actually happened was that the Clinton campaign paid a political opposition research firm, Fusion GPS, to frame Trump and his campaign by creating fake evidence of Russian collusion. To do this, Fusion GPS hired several people, including former MI6 agent Christopher Steele, to compile a dossier full of questionable second- and third-hand stories told by anonymous Russian sources about Trump and some of his campaign personnel.
Then that fake dossier was laundered to make it look like it came from intelligence agencies, not from political operatives paid by Clinton and the Democratic National Committee (DNC). The dossier was then used by the FBI to obtain a surveillance warrant on the entire Trump campaign team through a minor team member named Carter Page.
To get their FISA warrant on Page, top Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) officials deliberately misled the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) judge by hiding the fact that Steele was paid by the Clinton campaign and DNC.
Payments to Fusion GPS were hidden by passing them through the law firm Perkins Coie. Not only is that an FEC violation, it’s an attempt to get Clinton’s and the DNC’s fingerprints off the dossier.
That’s important to note because it’s going to be explored thoroughly in DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s upcoming report. Both the money used to pay for the dossier and the truth of who really created it were deliberately laundered to hide its true origins from the FISA Court.
That’s a major crime, and Horowitz will thoroughly lay out how it happened.
It’s been public information since last October that Clinton’s campaign and the DNC paid for the production of Steele’s dossier. Everything that’s come out in the intervening 10 months has only confirmed what we already know.
So evidence continues to mount that the Trump–Russian collusion narrative is actually a hoax—a massive political dirty trick that was hatched by the Clinton campaign, paid for with DNC cash, and laundered through Perkins Coie, all to create a fake dossier that was used to justify an FBI investigation as well as to spawn a strategic leaking campaign to the media.
However, many journalists have a vested interest in pretending the Steele dossier is authentic. They engage in fantasies that it hasn’t been debunked.
Mainstream media has been playing favorites between two competing narratives.
The first narrative is that the Steele dossier is real; Trump colluded/cheated with the Russians and that’s why he won the election; and Mueller is going to prove it. This is the only narrative the mainstream media wants to cover. They give the vast majority of their air and print time to discussing it.
The other narrative is one that mainstream media journalists resent every second they have to spend covering it. They want to suppress it and pretend that only right-wing conspiracy theorists discuss it.
This is, of course, the narrative where all the evidence keeps surfacing—that the real collusion during the 2016 presidential election was between the Clinton campaign, top officials in the DOJ, and the FBI, the intelligence community, and key members of the mainstream media. And this collusion involved framing the Trump campaign for stealing the election with the help of the Russian government.
And now even more evidence has surfaced that top DOJ and FBI officials were colluding with Democratic operatives to influence the 2016 election.

As he had repeatedly hinted he would, on Sept. 17, President Donald J. Trump ordered the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and the FBI to declassify many documents related to the “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation—fully unredacted—and release them to the public.
These documents are:
• The FISA Court application that was used to spy on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page
• FBI interview forms detailing extensive interviews with DOJ official Bruce Ohr
• All FBI reports of interviews prepared in connection with the Page FISA applications
• All the text messages of top DOJ/FBI people involved in the Crossfire Hurricane counterintelligence probe: James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and Bruce Ohr
On Sept. 18, desperate to keep all of this information hidden from the public, the four Democratic members of the Gang of Eight sent a letter to Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and FBI Director Christopher Wray urging all three of them to defy Trump’s declassification order.
In an obvious stalling tactic, the Democrats demanded in the letter that they be fully briefed on all the redactions being lifted from these documents. This makes no sense because the Gang Of Eight saw all the unredacted SpyGate documents long ago. There’s no need for the ODNI to give them multiple briefings on what is going to be unredacted and then pass the documents on to the White House for review before they are released to the public.
For months, Democrats pursued a gambit in which they walked a tightrope. As more information became public, showing no collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, they claimed this was because the real evidence showing that Trump stole the 2016 election with the help of nefarious Russians had been hidden behind redactions which the public hadn’t seen yet.
Why are the Democrats so determined to keep this information hidden from public scrutiny? Because they know the Trump/Russia Election Collusion narrative is based on a hoax. And they’ve known this for more than a year and a half.
As I stated in an earlier column, this all started as a dirty political trick when the Hillary Clinton campaign hired Fusion GPS to create what has become known as “The Steele Dossier.” The dossier contains fake allegations of Trump/Russia collusion based on second and third-hand stories supposedly collected from shadowy, anonymous Russian government officials.
Information contained in the Steele Dossier was then presented to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) to obtain a spy warrant on Page—which was likely used by extension, under the two-hop rule, to spy on other members of the Trump campaign as well. The FISC was left in the dark by the FBI and DOJ on the shady origins of the information and that it was paid for by a political campaign.
When the truth about the Steele Dossier began to come out, suddenly a new counter-narrative was launched in which it was claimed that minor Trump campaign figure George Papadopoulos, who had a drunken chat in a bar with Australian diplomat Alexander Downer, was the real trigger for the investigation. Both Democrats in Congress and reporters pushed this new, alternative narrative for months. And most of the top people involved in pushing that new narrative knew the entire time it was false.
Not only do the Democrats know they’ve been feeding a narrative they knew to be 100% false to their base for over 2 years and that this is about to be exposed, so do the major media outlets.
There are very strong indications that key members of the mainstream media at the New York Times and elsewhere saw the fully unredacted Carter Page FISA warrant over a year ago.
On March 17, 2017, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) received from the Department of Justice the 82-page copy of the FISA Court warrant that was granted to allow surveillance of U.S. citizen Carter Page.
On that very same day, SSCI security officer James Wolfe, who was in charge of handling all of the classified documents that the committee receives, sent exactly 82 text messages to a reporter at the New York Times. This information appears in Wolfe’s indictment, which was unsealed on June 7.
That reporter, designated as “REPORTER #2” in the Wolfe indictment, was the now infamous Ali Watkins, who at the time was working on the national security beat for the newspaper.
It looks like what Wolfe did was take a picture of each individual page of the warrant and then send them to Watkins one at a time via text messages.
Later, the Carter Page FISA warrant was publicly released, but only in a very heavily redacted form. A full 34 pages of that release were completely redacted, from the top to the bottom of the page.
It strains credulity that Wolfe would send Watkins 34 pictures of fully redacted pages.
Also, the members of the SSCI have the highest security clearances you can get. So it’s highly unlikely anything was redacted in the version of the FISA Court warrant that they received.
This means it’s extremely likely that what Wolfe transmitted to Watkins a completely unredacted copy of the Carter Page FISA warrant.
And if this is what happened, there’s no reason to think the New York Times sat on this and didn’t share it with other news media outlets.
This would mean top people inside the mainstream media have known for at least a year and a half that all their Trump/Russia collusion reporting is based on a hoax. They’ve known what that FISA Court warrant says for more than 18 months. They’ve known the truth about how Crossfire Hurricane was started. And they deliberately chose to peddle Fake News to the American public instead of reporting what they knew to be the real facts.
The American public is about to clearly see just how extensively they were lied to by both the Democrats in Congress and their media mouthpieces.
Don’t feel sorry for either the lying Democrats in Congress or their fellow travelers in the Fake News media. They deserve every single thing that’s about to happen to them.

Congressional investigators have confirmed that a top FBI official met with Democratic Party lawyers to talk about allegations of Donald Trump-Russia collusion weeks before the 2016 election, and before the bureau secured a search warrant targeting Trump’s campaign.
Former FBI general counsel James Baker met during the 2016 season with at least one attorney from Perkins Coie, the Democratic National Committee’s private law firm.
That’s the firm used by the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s campaign to secretly pay research firm Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence operative, to compile a dossier of uncorroborated raw intelligence alleging Trump and Moscow were colluding to hijack the presidential election.
The dossier, though mostly unverified, was then used by the FBI as the main evidence seeking a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant targeting the Trump campaign in the final days of the campaign.
The revelation was confirmed both in contemporaneous evidence and testimony secured by a joint investigation by Republicans on the House Judiciary and Government Oversight committees, my source tells me.
It means the FBI had good reason to suspect the dossier was connected to the DNC’s main law firm and was the product of a Democratic opposition-research effort to defeat Trump — yet failed to disclose that information to the FISA court in October 2016, when the bureau applied for a FISA warrant to surveil Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
“This is a bombshell that unequivocally shows the real collusion was between the FBI and Donald Trump’s opposition — the DNC, Hillary and a Trump-hating British intel officer — to hijack the election, rather than some conspiracy between Putin and Trump,” a knowledgeable source told me.
Baker was interviewed by lawmakers behind closed doors on Wednesday. Sources declined to divulge his testimony, other than to say it confirmed other evidence about the contact between the Perkins Coie law firm and the FBI.
The sources also said Baker’s interview broke new ground both about the FBI’s use of news media in 2016 and 2017 to further the Trump case and about Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s conversations in spring 2017 regarding possible use of a body wire to record Trump.
“The interview was one of the most productive we had and it opened up many new investigative leads,” one source said.
Another said Baker could not answer some questions about FBI media contacts, citing an ongoing investigation by the Justice Department inspector general into alleged illegal leaks, during and after the election, about the Trump collusion probe and other matters.
These revelations illustrate anew how much the FBI and Justice Department have withheld from the public about their collaboration and collusion with clearly partisan elements of the Clinton campaign and the DNC, Fusion and Steele, that were trying to defeat Trump.
The growing body of evidence that the FBI used mostly politically-motivated, unverified intelligence from an opponent to justify spying on the GOP nominee’s campaign — just weeks before Election Day — has prompted a growing number of Republicans to ask President Trump to declassify the rest of the FBI’s main documents in the Russia collusion case.
House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), House Freedom Caucus leaders Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), veteran investigator Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and many others have urged the president to act on declassification even as FBI and Justice Department have tried to persuade the president to keep documents secret.
Ryan has said he believes the declassification will uncover potential FBI abuses of the FISA process. Jordan said he believes there is strong evidence the bureau misled the FISA court. Nunes has said the FBI intentionally hid exculpatory evidence from the judges.
And Meadows told The Hill’s new morning television show, Rising, on Wednesday that there is evidence the FBI had sources secretly record members of the Trump campaign.
“There’s a strong suggestion that confidential human sources actually taped members within the Trump campaign,” Meadows told Hill.TV hosts Krystal Ball and Ned Ryun.
