Aankomend weekend begint de Toyota Racing Series in Nieuw-Zeeland weer, met als enige Nederlandse deelnemer Richard Verschoor die vorig jaar derde werd.
Er worden in deze klasse in 5 weekenden gereden, met 3 races per weekend (1 op zaterdag en 2 op zondag).

Armstrong wint beide andere races. Verschoor wordt tweede in de tweede race en valt uit in de derde race.

En wederom wint Richard Verschoor de eerste race in een TRS race weekend. Kampioenschapsleider Marcus Armstrong werd tweede voor Juan Manuel Correa en Robert Sharzman.

En Richard Verschoor heeft weer een race gewonnen. Hij won vandaag de derde race voor Ferrari junioren Armstrong en Shwarzman. Deze race staat ook wel bekend als de Grand Prix van Nieuw Zeeland.
In de tweede (reverse grid) race werd Verschoor vijfde.
Hij staat nog steeds derde in het kampioenschap achter Armstrong en Shwarzman.

Weer een weekend verder en weer een overwinning. Echter niet voor Richard Verschoor, maar voor Rinus 'Veekay' van Kalmthout in de MRF Challenge in Chennai. Hij won de eerste race van het laatste weekend en werd tweede in de tweede race. Felipe Drugovich is de nieuwe kampioen, Veekay staat derde met nog twee races te gaan.
In de Toyota Racing Series won Richard Verschoor voor de verandering eens niet de eerste race, maar werd slechts derde, al eindigde hij wel voor Marcus Armstrong en Robert Shwarzman, waardoor hij iets dichterbij komt in het kampioenschap.

In beide andere races van dit weekend in de TRS is Richard Verschoor derde geworden. De tweede (reverse grid) race werd gewonnen door Brendon Leitch en de derde door Robert Shwarzman voor Marcus Armstrong. Armstrong leidt nog steeds het kampioenschap voor Shwarzman en Verschoor.

Op de slotdag van de MRF Challenge is Rinus van Kalmthout als tweede en derde geëindigd. Beide races werden gewonnen door Felipe Drugovich, die daarmee op tien overwinningen komt, een record in deze klasse. Drugovich is de nieuwe kampioen, Van Kalmthout eindigt als derde.

De FIA heeft de inschrijvingslijst voor de Formule 2 bekend gemaakt. Op de lijst staan net zoals vorig jaar 10 teams. Racing Engineering en Rapax zijn verdwenen en terug van weggeweest is Carlin. Een nieuwkomer in deze klasse is Charouz Racing Systems, die afkomstig is uit de opgeheven Formule V8 3.5 klasse.
De teams zijn: Russian Time, Prema Racing, DAMS, ART Grand Prix, MP Motorsport, Arden International, Campos Racing, Trident, Carlin en Charouz Racing System.
