Mijn eigen mening: ik heb de jaren '80 zelf niet echt muzikaal meegemaakt, maar de meeste artiesten en cd's in de top 10 hebben allemaal wel een plekje gevonden in mijn collectie ondertussen of staan nog op mijn verlanglijstje. Geen echt verrassende nummer 1 ook, al kan ik het helemaal vinden in de mening dat Daydream Nation een essentiële en erg goede plaat is.
Kijk zelf maar wat je er goed en slecht aan vindt, vergeet niet dat het een door recensenten gemaakte lijst is. 
Minstens de helft van deze platen vind ik echt helemaal
Sonic Youth staat er weer vaak in zeg hee
Zitten wel veel goede albums tussen overigens...
gelukkig staat Appetite for Destruction er ook in, maar ik mis een plaat van Metallica, bijv. Master of Puppets

Ja, leuke lijst, terechte noteringen voor Sonic youth, Pixies, My bloody valentine en Jesus and mary chain, maar ik vind 'm toch wel erg eenzijdig. Bovendien heb ik het idee (maar ik heb niet op de site gekeken) dat het een door amerikanen opgestelde lijst is.
Grootst opvallende ontbrekenden (op eerste gezicht):
Simple minds (Sons and fascination, Reel to real?)
Madonna (Like a virgin)
Bruce Springsteen (Born in the USA, maar natuurlijk is Nebraska verantwoorder)
Dead kennedys

CD's waren er in het begin van de jaren 80 nog niet, eigenlijk vormen de jaren 80 het laatste lp-decennium.
Ik mis de nodige essentiele lp's, zoals Pornography van The Cure.
Vage term: relevante cd's.
Ik ga er zelfs niet verder over nadenken, maar lijstjes zijn altijd leuk
