In this series, James May, Kate Humble and Ant Anstead go live behind the scenes to bring us this modern miracle in real time. Over two nights they will reveal the science, engineering and people that keep us all on the road, and see a car built from start to finish in a little over 24 hours.

In the first episode, James makes friends with an army of diligent robots and busts the myth that British manufacturing is dead. Kate heads to Norway to discover why the electric car is king of the Norwegian road and Ant explores the history and heritage of one of the most iconic cars ever built. With access all areas live on the factory floor, the team will see exactly how a car is born - a car that tomorrow will be driven off the line ready for life on the open road.

James May, Kate Humble and Ant Anstead are back broadcasting live from one of the biggest and busiest car factories in Britain. Think you know how a car is born? Think again. James races against the clock on the production line and embraces the Japanese philosophy of Kaizen. Kate gets to the bottom of how manufacturers test car seats for mass production and Ant heads to Germany to put his faith in a driverless car on the autobahn.

Inside the factory, the team reveal what it takes to build a thousand different cars a day, and are live as a car that started being built yesterday drives off the production line for the very first time.

The producer punched by Jeremy Clarkson is suing the former Top Gear host and the BBC for racial discrimination.
Lawyers for Clarkson and the BBC attended a closed-door hearing with Oisin Tymon's legal team at a London employment tribunal on Friday.
The case centres on "verbal abuse" that accompanied a physical attack during which Clarkson struck Tymon in March.
Clarkson, who was dropped by the BBC following an internal inquiry, will front a new show on Amazon Prime.
The inquiry, headed up by Ken MacQuarrie, found Mr Tymon was subject to an "unprovoked physical and verbal attack".
Lawyers Slater & Gordon confirmed on Friday that they had been engaged by the producer.
A statement by the BBC said: "We will be responding to this claim, but will not be commenting further at this time."
The assault took place at a North Yorkshire hotel, after Clarkson was told there was no hot food available at the end of a day's shooting on location.
As part of the inquiry, statements were given by two unnamed witnesses to the incident on 4 March.
The producer, who suffered swelling and bleeding to his lip in the altercation, drove himself to hospital after the incident believing he had lost his job.
BBC director general, Tony Hall, said Clarkson had subjected an "innocent party [to] a physical altercation accompanied by sustained and prolonged verbal abuse of an extreme nature".
At the time of the attack, Mr Tymon told police he did not wish to press charges.
In the days following the assault, he was the subject of sustained abuse on social media for his involvement in the dispute - prompting Clarkson himself to urge his fans to show restraint.
"I wish people would leave Ois alone because none of this was his fault," the presenter told reporters in March.
Clarkson will be joined by his erstwhile Top Gear co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May on a new show for Amazon Prime, to be broadcast next year.

Top Gear will relaunch on 5th May 2016, new presenter Chris Evans has revealed.

The radio and TV host shared the start date for the rebooted series during an appearance on Saturday Kitchen, telling James Martin,"you can expect a car show starting on May 5th."

He added that he'd "already started making the films, the films are good. We're going to America to make our first inter-continental in January [and we're] making another film next week. By the time we hit the air on 5th May, we'll have 32 films in the can as they say.

Evans – who hosts the Radio 2 Breakfast Show and has also been fronting a new series of TFI Friday on Channel 4 – was announced as the new presenter of the BBC2 car show back in June, following the exit of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.

The trio's departure came after Clarkson was axed by the BBC back in March following his now-infamous "fracas" with Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon. They have since been signed up by Amazon to front three series of a new car show, starting in 2016, and have been touring stadiums around the world with their show Clarkson Hammond & May Live.

De volgende show heeft nog geen naam en komt volgende herfst pas op tv.

Clarkson zegt dat ze bijna overal al geweest zijn behalve in Iran en Noord Korea, en dat hij naar eigen zeggen meer vliegt dan wie dan ook. Zo was zijn laatste tripje voor het interview honing proeven in Australië.
