In 1987 had dit spel nog wel gekund, maar anno 2002 zijn er toch wel meer bewegingen te bedenken dan animaties die niet langer zijn dan 2 beeldjes.

Super Monkey Ball Jr. is definitely one of the finest Game Boy Advance games released during this year's holiday season. It not only offers a hell of a challenge in its main game, it also encourages replays by awarding points that will unlock well-produced mini-games. Monkey Bowling is a surprisingly excellent title by itself, with its super-smooth use of the GBA's sprite and background capabilities to recreate the same mode that appeared in the GameCube original. It's also a wonderful title to take advantage of the GBA's link capabilities. Super Monkey Ball Jr. just gets the whole presentation of Super Monkey Ball down pat; if you already own the GameCube game, you're not going to get anything new on the GBA...but it's still a great showpiece for your handheld system that offers nearly the exact same enjoyment. On the go.

The developer worked the same interface and happy feel of the GameCube title into the GBA game. And it works. 9.0
Graphics
The main game's 3D engine is pretty impressive with a playable framerate, though the monkey sprites are a little ugly. The non-3D games (Fight and Bowling) are smooth and gorgeous. 8.0
Sound
Tons of speech samples, and excellently produced GBA versions of the GameCube's musical soundtrack. 9.0
Gameplay
The controls are a little on the loose side, and the D-pad isn't the best substitute for the GameCube's analog stick. But the game's incredibly challenging with tons of stuff to do. 8.0
Lasting Appeal
Along with the several easy, medium, and hard challenges, there are super hard maps as well as unlockable minigames for single and multiplayer. Link cable mode is a blast, too. 9.0
OVERALL SCORE (not an average) 9.0

Hij zal binnekort wel komen, er is alleen nog geen release datum bekend voor Euopa volgens mij (nintendo.nl heeft onderhoud, en dimensionplus heeft hem nog niet in hun lijst staan...

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is definitely one of, if not the finest games released on the GBA this year. While some Zelda fans might be a bit bummed that Nintendo didn't offer Game Boy Advance owners something new to sink their teeth into, they have to realize that the company did do exactly that. Yes, the main package is simply the same Super NES game repackaged for play on the Game Boy Advance, but in all honesty that's only half the package. And offering one of the greatest action adventures in portable form isn't exactly a downside, either.
Four Swords is Nintendo's way of giving gamers something completely new and different in the Zelda environment, and it's one heck of a good time in each play through. This mode is an adventure in itself; it just requires the effort of grabbing one, two, or three other friends to join in the quest. And that's the only real downside to this mode: trying to get a party together to take advantage of this thoroughly-designed experience. It is a slight shame that Nintendo didn't offer just a sliver of Four Swords as a single-cartridge multiplayer mode, even if it was just to offer a scaled-back demo version of the entire Four Swords adventure...but considering how good this entire package is, it won't be hard to find players with a copy of their own.
Hopefully Nintendo won't end Link's portable career here; the Four Swords engine is a fantastic starting point for Capcom to work a brand new, original GBA adventure for our hero.

The GBA does a wonderful job not only recreating the SNES experience on the handheld, but it also offers something entirely new and exciting as well. 10.0
Graphics
The Link to the Past graphics are exactly the same from 10 years ago...but the Four Swords is where the game really shines in the graphics department. 9.0
Sound
It's still breathtaking to hear the Zelda overture...and the GBA does a wonderful job recreating the SNES sountrack as well as offering even better compositions in the GBA specific modes. 9.0
Gameplay
Outstanding puzzle designs in both the SNES port as well as the multiplayer original. You can't find a better 2D Zelda game anywhere. 10.0
Lasting Appeal
Even after you've played through the SNES adventure, the game has plenty to offer, including unlockable quests through multiplayer. And the Four Swords can be played over, and over, and over... 10.0
OVERALL SCORE (not an average) 9.7
En man o man wat een geweldig spel. De graphics (ik wist niet dat de GBA tot zulk moois in staat was), het verhaal, de gameplay, alles is gewoon
Echt ontzettend goed.
