Die kreeg ik ook niet van hem. Ik kreeg er in de loop van de wedstrijd wel iets meer en die heb ik gepakt. Dat was het verschil vandaag.”

Haase treft in de tweede ronde de Fransman Gilles Simon. "Dat is een hele andere speler dan Pospisil. Hij serveert best wel goed, ook al zou je dat niet denken. Simon slaat heel vlak en wil de rally’s vanaf de baseline spelen."
"Het zal een moeilijke opgave worden om te winnen. Normaal staat hij geplaatst, maar nu niet. In dat opzicht is het een pittige ronde, zeker omdat ik net van iemand heb gewonnen die geplaatst is."
Het maakte Haase niet uit dat hij door zijn partij de wedstrijd van het Nederlands elftal tegen Chili miste. "Dat is op dit moment totaal niet belangrijk voor me. Ik focus me op het tennis hier.”

Melzer zat te wachten tot ze zijn partij tegen Tsonga afbraken wegens invallende duisternis. En nu begint het opeens keihard te regenen. *5-4 Tsonga in de vijfde set.
Er staat 'Match suspended'. Het is daar natuurlijk ook pas 20.13 u. dus ze zouden nog wel even moeten kunnen doorspelen. Snap eigenlijk niet dat Melzer klaagt over invallende duistersnis als het nog iets van anderhalf uur licht genoeg is om te spelen.
Het leek erop dat ze de zeilen van de baan gingen halen. Maar kennelijk leggen ze ze alleen wat beter neer. Waarom ben ik eigenlijk de enige die hier nu post?
