Hey motoronkruidje! 'Leuk' van je te horen!
Misschien vind je dit ook leuk!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_Mission_OneThe mission, which is in its early development stages, aims to send a lunar lander to the Moon in 2024. The lander will drill below the surface of the Lunar South Pole to a depth of up to 100m, in the hope of accessing lunar rock up to 4.5 billion years old. The lunar lander will contain scientific instruments to explore the science and geology behind the origins of the Moon and the Solar System. After drilling, the module will place a time capsule into the borehole. This time capsule will contain a public archive, with a record of Earth’s biosphere and a history of human civilisation, and a private archive consisting of millions of digital memory boxes. Consumers will be able to purchase digital memory boxes, and fill them with digital data such as photos or videos. They will also be able to store their DNA via a strand of hair. Lunar Missions Limited has set the total cost of the mission at £500 million and it is aiming to raise these funds through global sales of digital memory boxes.
Funding for the initial development phase was raised on the international crowd-funding platform, Kickstarter. The fundraising was successfully completed on 17 December 2014,[4] with £672,447 ($1,017,000 approx.) being pledged, exceeding the minimum target of £600,000 ($900,000 approx.).
https://lunarmissionone.com/Mission-intro/project-funding.htmlPublic funding for space exploration missions is limited. Because of this Lunar Mission One is pioneering a new funding model. It will sell space for personal digital information in a private archive, part of the time capsule, to finance the mission. The private archive will contain millions of individual ‘digital memory boxes’. By pledging $90 or more on Kickstarter, around 3,700 people have already been able to reserve a place for their own digital memory box. Into this they will be able to upload any digital information they want - a simple message, photos, video or a family tree for example.
There will also be the option to add your personal DNA code by submitting a single strand of hair for physical storage in the archive. Our market research has predicted that many millions of people will buy a digital memory box linked to their DNA code. Ten million strands of hair is the size and weight of a bag of flour and is easy to transport. At this level of take-up, the revenues will completely pay for the mission, with a surplus for the future.
You can learn more about the Private Archive here.
Lunar Mission One is a project of the people, by the people, for the people – an international project from which citizens worldwide will benefit. The money this project generates will create a long term legacy — funding a global education programme and enabling the Trust to help fund future space missions, changing the way we explore space — forever.

Ik weet niet precies waarom, maar elke keer ik die Brian Cox figuur aan 't praten zien voel ik me 'n beetje misselijk.
Maar ja...

“Lunar Mission One will help young people understand about what it is to be human.”

FFS. What a laugh! Help young people understand being human by beleiving in animated fairy stories on computer screen? Thanks professor!

If you have purchased a digital memory box as part of our Footsteps on the Moon campaign, then your memories will also go to the Moon as part of the planned Astrobotic 2017 mission.
