The Firm is weer aardig gezakt (10%) naar een 0.9 rating. NBC heeft met Sony een contract voor 22 afleveringen, maar ik denk dat NBC daar inmiddels behoorlijk spijt van heeft.
30 Rock (1.6 rating, -11%), Whitney (1.6 rating, -20%) en Are you there, Chelsea (1.7 rating, - 25%) beginnen al aardig te dalen en dit zou weleens goed nieuws kunnen zijn voor Community.
Harry's Law daalde deze week met een tiende naar een 1.1 rating en lange tijd wou ik ze niet al te hoog zetten in mijn top 10, vooral omdat ze vorig jaar met slechte cijfers toch nog een tweede seizoen kregen. Nu gaan ze denk ik toch echt richting een annulering.
Nog een paar jaar en er blijft niks van NBC over. Hun best scorende serie blijft The Office, maar zelfs dat heeft z'n beste tijd gehad en zit inmiddels ook al 2 weken onder de 3.0 rating. De komende tijd zal dat alleen nog maar erger worden. Ze hebben dit seizoen alleen nog Awake als enige nieuwe serie over en denk niet dat deze format beduidend veel kijkers gaat trekken.
The Finder (2.2 rating, +29%) deed het met American Idols (5.6 rating) als lead-in iets beter, maar het verschil van meer dan 60% onderling zegt wel veel. The Finder is dan ook volgens mij de Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior van dit seizoen. Volgende week zullen ze zich echt moeten bewijzen, want anders gaan ze bij mij omhoog in de top 10 en denk ik dat het feest snel is afgelopen.
The Secret Circle is de afgelopen tijd hard gedaald en deze week daalde ze weer een tiende naar een 0.7 rating. Een tweede seizoen zal er gerust nog komen, maar verder ziet het er niet rooskleurig uit.
Het enige echt positieve nieuws is dat Person of Interest toch langzaamaan begint te groeien en deze week een nieuw hoogtepunt bereikte (3.3 rating, +0.1 rating)
Morgen is Fringe weer aan de beurt en zal toch echt een verbetering moeten laat zien, want de 1.1 rating van vorige week was weer het laagste punt ooit voor Fringe. Nogmaals een 1.1 rating en ze gaan naar plek 5 in de top 10, maar bij een 1.0 rating durf ik het wel aan om ze vierde positie te geven, dit zal dan ook gelijk de doodsteek zijn. Of ze moeten bij Fox Fringe nog de gelegenheid geven om het seizoen af te ronden met een paar extra afleveringen volgend jaar, tegen lagere kosten. Vergelijkbaar situatie is Dollhouse die een tweede en laatste seizoen kreeg, maar het met minder geld moesten doen.

Officieel wilt ABC nog niet toevoegen dat Pan Am is gecanceld, maar de kleine backorder, berichten van cast&crew en de lage ratings maakte het lot van deze serie al snel duidelijk.
Zonde dat Fringe het zo slecht doet, vind het nog steeds erg leuk om naar te kijken

Toch zonde dat ze vorig jaar Brothers & Sisters hebben gecancelled die toch betere cijfers had dan Pan Am, maar helaas 
En ik sluit me aan over Fringe. Ik vind het zo'n goede serie! Zou zonde zijn als het gecancelled word. Wel geruststellend om te weten dat de makers van de serie al een finale in gedachten hebben en dat die niet meer zal veranderen en dat die finale goed zou kunnen dienen als series finale.

It looks like "Gossip Girl" fans have two reasons to celebrate. The show is set to air its 100th episode on Monday (Jan. 30), and, according to producers, the series is all but certain to return for its sixth season.
"We're not writing a series finale this year," says EP Stephanie Savage.
This issue of whether the show would be renewed was an item that was up for debate. Ratings for The CW drama have dropped in recent years. While its first season in 2007 averaged 2.35 million viewers, Monday's (Jan. 23) episode drew just 1.6 million viewers and a 0.8 share in the coveted 18-49 demographic.
But these dwindling viewership numbers appears to not be any deterrent for the network. Show EP Savage explains those discussions.
"We've checked in with our bosses to make sure we're not shooting ourselves in the foot," Savage says. She adds that these discussions usually end with network execs saying "Seriously. You have to stop asking me if you should be writing the series finale."
While the network wouldn't confirm the news, The CW president Mark Pedowitz tells the Hollywood Reporter on Jan. 25, "We have great pride in [the show]. We hope that it lasts for a long, long time. Time will tell how things go."

Ik heb de serie nooit gezien, maar een snelle blik op de cast leert me dat Sally Field, Rob Lowe en Calista Flockhart bij de cast hoorden.
Die kosten al een aardige duit (Lowe in zijn West Wing tijdperk $100.000 per episode) en die contracten zullen na 5/6 seizoenen niet slechter geworden zijn voor de acteurs.

After much deliberation, the producers of House M.D. have decided that this season of the show, the 8th, should be the last. By April this year they will have completed 177 episodes, which is about 175 more than anyone expected back in 2004.

Ik geef Ringer nog 1 aflevering met een 0.5 rating voordat ik ze bij de bij de overige 3 zet die zo goed als zeker gecanceld gaan worden. Hart of Dixie, Whitney, Are You There, Chelsea? en Napoleon Dynamite liggen op dichte afstand van nummer 10.
Alcatraz blijft maar dalen. Telkens als ik denk dat het dieptepunt is bereikt dalen ze toch weer behoorlijk. Met de laatste aflevering moesten ze het doen met een 1.9 rating en zitten nu al onder House (2.4 rating), die met het laatste seizoen bezig is. Ze zullen zeker snel stijgen in de lijst als ze deze ratings behouden of verder zakken.
The Finder (2.2 rating) doet het vergeleken met Alcatraz in de ratings iets beter, maar American Idol als lead-in heeft daarentegen niet echt een positief effect. Het mag dan niet de meest perfecte doelgroep zijn , toch wekt het grote verschil voor een beginnende serie niet veel vertrouwen.
Als ze onder de 2.0 komen voordat Bones weer terug is gaan ze linea direct naar de bovenste groep die volgend jaar zeker niet meer terugkomen.
Smash doet het aan de ene kant goed op NBC met een 2.8 rating, maar dat ze met The Voice als lead-in minder dan 50% van het publiek kunnen vasthouden is niet echt positief noemen, terwijl het voor dezelfde doelgroep is.
Vergeleken met vorige week daalde Smash ook behoorlijk, met minstens 25% in de ratings.

Dacht dat Ringer het wel aardig deed, dat is blijkbaar dus omgeslagen. Paar afleveringen aangekeken en vond het ook gewoon slecht

Supernatural is also considered relatively "safe", there are some issues with its age making it slightly less safe in the above shows, but it is much more likely to be renewed than cancelled and could also make an early renewal.
The CW on the other hand told producers of Hart of Dixie, Nikita, Ringer and surprisingly The Secret Circle that they are "on the bubble". Their fates will likely depend on how much the CW likes their pilots and how many new shows they are willing to pickup.
Nikita producers were told they may be given a decision early so they can write a series finale arc in the final episodes.

Zap2It reports that Lionsgate,the studio that produces the show, considered shopping it to other channels before releasing the actors from their contracts.

Zo verbaasd ben ik niet over The Secret Circle (kijk het zelf niet). Doet ongeveer hetzelfde als Nikita vorig jaar na TVD, is dus niet echt een goede match qua publiek.quote:

Ringer lijkt me een goner, is daarnaast ook nog eens heel zwaar gepromoot.
Hart of Dixie en Nikita zijn nu om het even, al had Nikita dezelfde rating vorige week, maar dat op de traditioneel slecht bekeken vrijdag. Daarnaast is Nikita niet de standaard tienerserie waar the CW zo bekend om staat, dat kan ook in zijn voordeel werken.
Ik heb Secret Circle een paar afleveringen gekeken maar ben er toen mee gestopt. Het trok me eigenlijk totaal niet. Maar dacht eigenlijk dat ie het wel goed deed.
Nouja zal er niet rouwig om zijn als het gecancelled werd, plaats voor een nieuwe serie

Het lijkt inderdaad niet goed te matchen met The Vampire Diaries en is al aardig wat publiek aan het verliezen. Doordat ze een "on the bubble" positie hebben verdienen ze minstens een plekje net buiten de top 10.
Alcatraz blijft zakken (1.8 rating, -5%) en langzaamaan wordt de kans op een tweede seizoen wordt steeds kleiner.
Het verschil tussen The Voice en Smash loopt steeds verder op en begint zo groot te worden dat dit wel een teleurstelling moet zijn voor NBC. Als ze de derde aflevering nog een vier tiende punt dalen naar een 2.4 rating (-14%), en het verschil met lead-in The Voice 62% is, dat waarschijnlijk ook nog eens zal oplopen, dan kunnen we het toch wel aannemen dit een flop is / wordt.

Nikita heeft sinds tijden weer eens verbetering in de ratings getoond. De 0.6 rating (+20%) zal pas echt een betekenis hebben als ze dit hierna nog minsten 2 weken vast kunnen houden, maar een echte grote invloed zal het denk ik niet meer hebben, zo laat in het seizoen.
Over Nikita zou ik niet zo zeker zijn, is zeer stabiel in de ratings en heeft qua kwaliteit van afleveringen een enorm goede maand gehad. Jammer dat er nu 3 weken geen nieuwe aflevering is.
Het lijkt mij dat DST een grote rol gaat spelen, zeker aangezien dat een groot effect kan hebben op 8 uur shows, helemaal op vrijdag.

En Fringe maakt inderdaad geen geld voor FOX volgens de producers. Maar de kijkcijfers zijn volgens mij niet erg tegenvallend.
