Carlos Condit also placed high on the pay scale for his stunning knockout of Dong Hyun Kim. The former WEC welterweight titleholder took home $143,000 in total for crumpling Kim ($41,000) with a flying knee and finishing the South Korean with punches, earning “Knockout of the Night” for his efforts.
Main-eventers Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber were awarded $115,000 and $107,000, respectively, for their thrilling, five-round “Fight of the Night,” as Cruz retained his bantamweight title in a competitive, 25-minute affair.
Onetime Pride Fighting Championships star Wanderlei Silva took home $200,000 in defeat, as “The Axe Murderer” was brutally knocked out by Chris Leben ($92,000) in just 27 seconds. Rounding out the main draw, German striker Dennis Siver earned $50,000 for his narrow unanimous decision victory over Matt Wiman ($18,000) in their three-round lightweight tilt.

Als ik naar die salarissen kijk is het beter te begrijpen waarom Wanderlei, Tito, Crocop eruit worden gewipt als ze niet performen.
Het is natuurlijk moeilijk te verantwoorden om Silva 200.000 te blijven betalen terwijl Leben die hem heeft ingemaakt maar 46.000 (zonder winbonus krijgt). Zelfde verhaal met Tito (450.000) en Bader (20.000).
Crocop kreeg destijds ook 200.000~300.000 dacht ik. En dan wordt hij ingemaakt door Gonzaga die 20.000 krijgt

Vreselijk slechtbetaalde contracten bij WEC trouwens (die overgenomen zijn door UFC). Cruz de kampioen krijgt 20.000 en de rest is optioneel. GSP, Silva en Velasquez krijgen allemaal 500.000+
Als z'n contract wordt vernieuwd wordt dat wel rechtgetrokken overigens.
