A new development version is uploaded to SourceForge.
Where?
(

You may want to backup your database before overwriting your old stuff. Especially if you are interested in keeping 1.427 or earlier running. 1.427 will not understand much of player positions in this version. Also, this version will not handle old, nasty stuff, like 4 inner midfielders gracefully.
What's new?
HO is moved to a 553 lineup model. What does this mean? It means you can have 3 offensive central defenders. It means you have rating calculations that tell you the effect of moving your lone central defender between left, central and right central defense positions. It also means that repositioning orders are no longer a part of HO. Due to this, the screens showing or modifying lineups have seen changes, but the overall appearances are still the same.
Rating calculation is modified to bring crowding penalties into the calculation part. 'Default' is again king, and prediction types can again be selected in the lineup screen. Predictions types with names like '1D+3M+2F' are now a thing of the past. If you want to modify crowding penalties, have a peek in playerstrength.dat of the prediction folder.
The lineup screen has a few bonus modifications. Subs, captain and set piece taker are moved around to match the layout of the lineup page on Hattrick. And various buttons in the lineup screen are moved into closer, free spots. Swap capabilities are added to the subs, so you can now quickly swap for instance a defender with the reserve defender.
What's bugged?
Nothing that I know of. But the 553 change has minor consequences in a lot of places, so there may still be issues. Plugins are prime suspects, but the ones included in the download should be working.
The auto lineup is looking for some love, but is not bugged. It needs someone to tell it which 3 positions not to fill with players, so it does not merely have its last 3 rejected by the lineup object. The hard part is telling it this without messing up the already messy lineup screen.
