Bespreek hier de actuele situatie omtrent het Midden-Oosten.
Klopt...maar niet alles kan tegelijk...het is nu al moeilijk bij te houden met het MO...maar ik denk dat het niet meer te stoppen is en zij ook overstag moeten voor een betere wereld...hoe dat allemaal gaat uitpakken weet nu nog niemand ik hoop dat ze inzien dat het beter is dit zonder strijd te doen...quote:Op maandag 28 maart 2011 09:26 schreef Dance99Vv het volgende:

Sirt lijkt toch nog niet ingenomen te zijn of iig niet meer, schijnbaar zijn de anti's momenteel ter hoogte van al-Nawfaliyah.

AJA reports rebels had advanced closer to Sirte, to an area called Red Valley around 30km away, and found it mined.

09.41 The Daily Telegraph's Damien McElroy, in Tripoli, says claims of the fall of Sirte appear to be premature.
Reports from Muammar Gaddafi's hometown of Sirte suggest the town remains loyal to the regime despite rebel claims it had fallen without resistance.
Loyalists are parading in the streets waving Gaddafi's Green flag, troops in camouflage uniforms are heavily deployed and wide avenues of the city are under the control of local volunteers.

Op dit moment is er nog geen bevestiging van de inname van Sirte door de rebellen. Er komen verschillende berichten binnen. Een journalist van Reuters meldt vanuit die stad dat er nog geen teken is van een herovering door opstandelingen. Een correspondent van Al Jazeera meldt dat ze een opstandeling sprak die zegt bij de verovering van de stad te zijn geweest. Persbureau AFP schrijft dat de opmars van de rebellen zon 140 kilometer voor Sirte, bij Ben Jawad, is gestuit door pro-Gaddafi troepen................

Story by the individual who took this video, here's his story:
He volunteered in Tripoli. He, and others, were taken to Sirt. For 3 days they lived a life of luxury. Food, music, late nights, women, marijuana, etc. After 3 days there were organized into a convoy and armed, and headed east, presumably towards Ajdabiyah. On this road trip some videos were being shared of previous days. The video is one such video.
At one point, they received an order to stop and immediately leave their vehicles and take cover. Minutes later the convoy was bombed entirely (by coalition). Some at the front of the convoy were fatally injured. It was apparently horrific. The majority volunteers were hysterical at what they saw. They had to walk for miles and miles back to sirt.
Back at sirt they regrouped and Moatasim Gaddafi gave a speech telling them they were brave and heroes (this is confirmation of the reports that Mutasm is in Sirt and is now supreme commander of the armed units). There was word that they were organizing another convoy to send. The contact who passed on the video was distraught. He didn't want to go. Apparently there were crying men begging not to go. His uncle is a general so he was able to be put on "messenger" duty and was sent to Tripoli, where he went straight home.
The gaddafi forces were making the prisoners say "we are aljazeeras dogs" as well as other things, so the media will perhaps find it interesting.

Reuters reports that a "steady stream of [opposition fighters] in 4x4 pick-ups mounted with machineguns" has been seen heading towards Sirte.
"We heard from Benghazi that the rebels are in Sirte, but it is not for sure because Gaddafi's soldiers are firing rockets from Sirte," Mohamed, a 23-year-old fighter, told Reuters.
