BBC

Libyan state television reports that the western city of Misrata is "now secure". "Counterterrorism units arrest the terrorist gangs which terrorised civilians in Misrata. The city is now secure and life is going back to normal," a caption says.

Libyan state TV is also reporting that "hundreds of thousands demonstrated in London yesterday to say we are with you against this war and we oppose the conspiracy hatched against Libya", :D according to BBC Monitoring. To back its claim with "facts", it showed pictures of protesters carrying green flags and chanting pro-Gaddafi slogans near the Palace of Westminster.

\Meet Hala Al-Musrati - us Libyans call her a girda* _O_ , but you can call her whatever you want.

Shes the anchor of Libya TV (which we have already proven, on more than one occasion, to be having trouble with telling the truth). Someone needs to explain to her what victim-blaming is because shes doing a lot of it, about Iman Al Obeidy, the brave women who told journalists her horrifying story of being gang-raped by Gaddafi thugs.

Lady G here seems to think its okay to accuse Iman of lying she says Iman did it for attention. She doesnt have any evidence (From a psychological perspective, we know that any females that gone through such an crisis, they are not going to act like this woman has acted in front of the journalists.) but she wants us to know that Iman is lying the rape and lying about who she is (which is a patented Gaddafi tactic), because even a prostitute would have the national pride not to talk about it (if it did indeed happened).

Although she does accuse Iman of being a prostitute as well (her boyfriends).

Women arent supposed to speak about things like rape, says Girda here, especially if it happened to them, because it might bring shame upon their family name and death is a better solution than that (The family would rather suffer silently themselves before bringing the issue to the public and shaming their daughter they might even, with time, kill their daughter.).

But heres the thing Iman hasnt just shamed her family. Nope. Shes shamed the entire country! She has besmirched Libyas reputation. And Hala has done her national duty, folks, because she has secretly video-taped Iman and they will be airing the footage tomorrow to reclaim the honorable reputations of Libyans everywhere. Thanks, Hala. Thats exactly what we needed to improve our image on the world stage.

Look, Im not saying that Hala here is scumbag and a liar, an ignorant, malicious mean-girl, a slimy, sleazy self-serving sycophant who I cant wait to see behind bars with all the other Gaddafi toadies oh wait, yes, thats exactly what Im saying.

Indeed. Walgelijk.

Internationale Socialisten, treurig clubje.
