Willen de eigenaren de negativiteit richting de spelers duwen?quote:Here is what the "Real" fans need 2 know: The owners tried 2 slip many things n2 the CBA "they" voted on that were NEVER agreed 2! #PRPlay

"Smart move by the owners to gain positive public perception and pressure the players into a bad deal shifting the negativity on us #kudos"
Geno Hayes: "Took this long and give us a time limit to recertify...lol smh must have n L on our head"
Colin Cowherd: "at end of any negotiation, it's in the details--you have to live w them for a decade. Don't blame players for wanting to read every line."
Vonnie Holliday: "Please don't get excited about that press conference. The owners have agreed on a deal we the players have not seen! This is not consistent"
Schefter: "Bills S George Wilson on ESPN: "This is nothing more than an attempt to get the fans to turn on the players." Doesn't expect a vote Friday."
John McClain: "Because it's a 10-year deal with no outs, players would be foolish to vote until they study every single detail and understand every detail."
quote:According to SI.com's Jim Trotter, "you can take it to the bank" that the players will not ratify the owners' proposal "as currently presented."
Commissioner Roger Goodell was left with the impression that NFLPA chief DeMaurice Smith will recommend the proposal to his constituents, but the player reps aren't ready to recertify just yet. NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora reports there are still at least "four or five" outstanding issues in the NFL's tentative document. Several player reps have told ESPN that they are "unhappy" that the owners' actions have "painted us into a corner." The bottom line is that there is still negotiating left to do.

quote:ATLANTA -- The NFLPA sent a second email out to player reps on Thursday night, in the hours following the owners' 31-0 vote to ratify a settlement proposal that would end the four-month-old lockout, detailing the issues it had with the potential deal.
NFL Network obtained a copy of the email, which took issue with the league setting a rough timetable for the NFLPA to reform as a union.
"In addition to depriving the players of the time needed to consider forming a union and making needed changes to the old agreement, this proposed procedure would in my view also violate federal labor laws," the email read. "Those laws prohibit employers from coercing their employees into forming a union, and could result in any agreement reached through the procedure being declared null and void."
The email say the league "demands that the players re-form as a union and provide evidence by Tuesday, July 26 that a majority of players have signed union authorization cards."
It also said that the new CBA includes "virtually all provisions of the old CBA" and that after voting on it, by July 26, the players would only have three days to bargain changes in terms. The agreement, it goes on, "would become final on Saturday, July 30. If the NFL does not agree to the players' proposed changed, the old CBA terms on benefits, discipline, safety, etc. will remain unchanged for another 10 years."
