Keiji Haino will be part of Sunn O)))‘s curated event at Roadburn Festival 2011, set for Friday, April 15th at the 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland. Also appearing on the bill are Winter, Corrosion of Conformity (“Animosity” lineup), Earth, Caspar Brötzmann Massaker, Mamiffer, Scorn, Beaver, Hooded Menace, Menace Ruine, Aluk Todolo, The Secret, Atilla’s Csihar’s Void Ov Voices and Sunn O))).
“In a Sept. 1996 Wire interview, Keiji Haino spoke about his music as a form of prayer, one that may lift or degrade the listener, depending on his own performance. He believed his music was a “diagram of white magic,” but that if his efforts were to fall short, his music would reveal itself as harmful black magic. “I can’t change your hate into like unless there is an equal amount of like corresponding to your hate.” While acknowledging that “Prayer exists because nothing is perfect,” he felt that his work was an exploration of that imperfection, attempting to voice what was impossible: “I’m trying to express in music the satori that the Buddha achieved but couldn’t explain.” Whichever genre he has chosen to seek that void where the inexpressibly spiritual may be expressed—Psychedelic Rock, Noise, solo drumming, Acoustic Blues—his quest has never been anything less than a raw, naked search to speak the unspoken. He has, in the process, expanded both the definition of a spiritual artist and the uses for improv and Noise, as did the Free Jazz explorers of the late ’60′s” –Mike Wood.

ah kijk, volgens mij ging het gerucht al iets eerder, maar nu dus officieel 
denk dat ik wel even ga kijken, ik heb hem gezien op ATP, daar paste hij niet echt... ...het kwam iig niet echt over. Kwam waarschijnlijk dat ik hem zag tussen een lang optreden van 'Weird al Yankovic' door, dus misschien was ik een beetje te melig voor noise
ook de reacties van het barpersoneel bij een moment rust hielp daar niet aan mee "Ah thank god"

Ik denk dat op je op RB je wat meer in Haino kunt laten opgaan, ik ga hem wel weer kijken. Het stukje dat ik op ATP heb gezien viel me niet tegen.
Mits voldoende gebruikt niet te traceren en volledig privacy ongevoelig.
Ik heb hem nog nooit gezien, en zie hier ook wel naar uit.

Ik las net op de 013 nieuwsbrief dat je met een prijsvraag kaarten voor Colour Haze kan winnen. Ben ik nu zo fucking blind dat ik die vraag nergens zie staan of moet je je alleen maar aanmelden voor de aktie?

Kende het niet, maar het is country inderdaad. Daar houd ik ook wel van en wat ik heb geluisterd klinkt fijn, dus ik vind het weer te gek.
Vrijdag begint nu ook een beklemmend goede line-up te krijgen, de dag dat het blokkenschema bekend wordt gemaakt, wordt een zwarte dag.

Ik word nu al ongemakkelijk bij de gedachte aan alle clashes op de donderdag. Wil driekwart van de bands niet missen, zo erg is het nog nooit geweest in de afgelopen jaren...
Elektrohasch 007 - Colour Haze – She Said - CD & DLP
Since June 2010 we are working on our new album. Due to several private and artistic reasons we needed to build up our own analogue studio for this, which we did since March 2010 with great effort. Temporaly and financially we went far over the actual maximum of our possibilities, totally nuts – but the world already suffers enough from reasonabel economic decissions ; ) – We think that with this creativly and artistically we made a great step onwards and recorded our best, most sophisticated and most psychedelic album so far.
Unfortunately on the one hand we also had a cascade of bad luck with the gear, so all the time (exspensive…) technical problems had to be solved. Furthermore because of a nearly unbelievable chain of acoustical problems on the recording side – a seemingly ok sounding room which caused some problems in the background and a basicly correct but in combination difficult miking – and nobody heard it all the time, several studied audio-technicians had the stuff on their ears over the course of months – all our well played and in the single signals beautifully recorded music resisted every attempt to mix it down properly yet – I invested 5 weeks of 11h – 14h behind the console so far – well with Hi End gear you can also cause Hi End problems ; ) … In the last days we analysed the material digitally and found a few things which might work and haven`t been tried yet.
We gave everything – and everybody who knows us knows that we always try to give our very best – and with our attitude of unconditional giving we achieved so much over the years, not only for ourselves… but at the moment we came to a dead end with the new album.
Therefore we delay the release to an uncertain point later on this timeline ; ) – we won`t give up for sure – but we have to work it out now calmly, without timepressure and with deliberation….
So – also because we have to make our live-shows more scarce in the future– just like you also we have to work ; ) – come to the shows of the Up In Smoke Tour! – there won`t be another Colour Haze tour in 2011 – if the new record didn`t work out yet at least Live! : )
We are looking very much forward to play again for you and furthermore we come in company of two of our favorite groups – Rotor and Sungrazer - and additional guests – Hypnos 69, The Machine, Lonely Camel – on a few shows! See tourdates and info below and come! : )
We`ll also have new T-Shirts and full Elektrohasch merch with us – after the tour you can also order T-Shirts from me with email (please not in the next days…)

Ik hoor waarschijnlijk vanavond (of morgenochtend) of ik alsnog een kaartje voor de normale prijs heb. Dat zou wel een hoezee momentje opleveren.
