refr.:
Eenzaam tussen duizend vrienden
Duizend vrienden, toch alleen
Eenzaam tussen duizend vrienden
Duizend vrienden, toch alleen
refr.:
O, o, o
Even rustig ademhalen
refr.
And God said "look after the planet"
But man said "FUCK YOU!"
Through these fields of destruction
Baptism of fire
I've watched all your suffering
As the battles raged higher
And though they did hurt me so bad
In the fear and alarm
You did not desert me
My brothers in arms
There's so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones
Now the sun's gone to hell
And the moon's riding high
Let me bid you farewell
Every man has to die
But it's written in the starlight
And every line on your palm
We're fools to make war
On our brothers in arms

O' Malley's Bar- Nick Cave
I am tall and I am thin
Of an eviable height
And I've been known to be quite handsome
From a certain angle and in a certain light.
Well I entered into O'Malley's
Said, "O'Malley I have a thirst"
O'Malley merely smiled at me
Said "You wouldn't be the first.
I knocked on the bar and pointed
To a bottle on the shelf
And as O'Malley poured me out a drink
I sniffed and crossed myself.
My hand decided that the time was nigh
And for a moment it slipped from view
And when it returned, it fairly burned
With confidence anew.
Well the thunder from my steely fist
Made all the glasses jangle
When I shot him, I was so handsome
It was the light, it was the angle.
Huh! Hmmmmmm.
"Neighbours!" I cried, "Friends!" I screamed
I banged my fist upon the bar
"I bear no grudge against you!"
And my dick felt long and hard.
"I am the man for which no God waits
For which the whole world yearns
I'm marked by darkness and by blood
And one thousand powder-burns."
Well, you know those fish with the swollen lips
That clean the ocean floor?
When I looked at poor O'Malley's wife
That is exactly what I saw.
I jammed the barrel under her chin
And her face looked raw and vicious
Her head it landed in the sink
With all the dirty dishes.
Her little daughter Siobhan
Pulled beers from dusk till dawn
And amongst the townfolk, she was a bit of a joke
But she pulled the best beers in town.
I swooped magnificent upon her
And I spun heroically around
To see Caffrey rising from his chair
I shot that mother fucker down.
Mmmmmmmmm Yeah Yeah Yeah.
"I have no free will", I sang
As I flew about the murder
Mrs. Richard Holmes, she screamed
You really should have heard her
I sang and I laughed, I howled and I wept
I panted like a pup
I blew a hole in Mrs. Richrd Holmes
And her husband he stood up.
And he screamed, "You are an evil man"
And I paused a while to wonder
"If I have no free will then how can I
Be morally culpable, I wonder".
I shot Richard holmes in the stomach
And gingerly he sat down
And he whispered weirdly, "No offense"
And lay upon the ground.
"None taken", I replied to him
With which he gave a little cough
With blazing wings I neatly aimed
And blew his head completely off.
I've lived in this town for thirty years
And to no-one am I stranger
And I put new bullets in my gun
Chamber upon chamber.
And when I turned my gun on the bird-like Mr. Brookes
I thought of Saint Francis and his sparrows
And as I shot down the youthful Richardson
It was St. Sebastian I thought of, and his arrows.
Hhhhhhhhhhhh Mmmmmmmmm.
I said, "I want to introduce myself
And I am glad that you all came"
And I leapt upon the bar
And shouted out my name.
Well Jerry Bellows, he stugged his stool
Closed his eyes and shrugged and laughed
And with an ashtray as big as a fucking big brick
I split his head in half.
His blood spilled across the bar
Like a steaming scarlet brook
And I knelt at it's edge on the counter
Wiped the tears away and looked.
Well, the light in there was blinding
Full of God and ghosts and truth
I smiled at Henry Davenport
Who made an attempt to move.
Well, from the position I was standing
The strangest thing I ever saw
The bullets entered through the top of his chest
And blew his bowels out on the floor.
Well I floated down the counter
Showing no remorse
I shot a hole in Kathleen Carpenter
Recently divorced.
But remorse I felt and remorse I had
It clung to everything
From the raven's hair upon my head
To the feathers on my wings.
....squeezed my hand in it's fraudulent claw
With it's golden hairless chest
And I glided through the bodies
And I killed the fat man Vincent West.
Who sat quietly in his chair
A man become a child
And I raised the gun up to his head
Executioner-style.
He made no attempt to resist
So fat and dull and lazy
"Do you know I lived in your street?" I cried
And he looked at me as though I were crazy.
"O", he said, "I had no idea"
And he grew as quiet as a mouse
And the roar of the pistol when it went off
Near blew the hat right off the house.
Well, I caught my eye in the mirror
And gave it a long and loving inspection
"There stands some kind of man", I roared
And there did, in the reflection.
My hair combed back like a raven's wing
My muscles hard and tight
And curling from the business end of my gun
Was a query-mark of cordite.
Well I spun to the left, I spun to the right
And I spun to the left again
"Fear me! Fear me!"
But no one did cause they were dead.
Huh! Hmmmmmmmmm.
And then there were the police sirens wailing
And a bull-horn squelched and blared
"Drop your weapons and come out
With your hands held in the air".
Well. I checked the chambers of my gun
Saw I had one final bullet left
My hand, it looked almost human
As I held it to my head.
"Drop your weapon and come out!
Keep your hands above your head!"
Well, I had one long hard think about dying
And did exactly what they said.
There must have been fifty cops out there
In a circle around O'Malley's bar
"Don't shoot" I cried, "I am a man unarmed"
So they put me in their car.
And they sped me away from that terrible scene
And I glanced out of the window
Saw O'Malley's bar, saw the cops and the cars
And started counting on my fingers.
Aaaaaaaaah One Aaaaaaah Two Aaaaaaaaah Three
Aaaaaaaaah Four
O'Malley's bar O'Malley's bar.
Jennifer lost the war today
They'll find her burned and raped
Thru it all she must have wondered what have I done
But nobody really cares today the world's a busy place
Guess she must have really seamed auwhow really seamed auw
I guess we're all just so good
she was only 6 years old
Left to die by strangers
that's barely a waste
And if we're all just so good
is it so wrong to be afraid
Jennifer lost the war
Phoebe lost the war today
There must be some mistake
Said it happens all the time, and its said and done
Little miss 15 65
your soul remains unclaimed
Guess she must have really seamed auwhow really seamed auw
More now the ???? went out back
She likes ???? little ??
All our sorrow well just
kill it all
But will the morning headlines
even say that its a shame
What are we heading for
Jennifer lost the war
Seen it all before
?started on the grond and she's walking away?
And I wonder how many more
Everybody take it like its nothing to say
aha o yeah
Jennifer plum lost
lost, lost, lost the war
and now I guess we're all just so good
she was only 6 years old
Left to die by strangers
that's barely a waste
But will the morning headlines
even say that its a shame
What are we heading for

Title: It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and
snakes, an aeroplane and Lenny Bruce is not afraid.
Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn - world
serves its own needs, dummy serve your own needs. Feed
it off an aux speak, grunt, no, strength, Ladder
start to clatter with fear fight down height. Wire
in a fire, representing seven games, a government
for hire and a combat site. Left of west and coming in
a hurry with the furies breathing down your neck. Team
by team reporters baffled, trumped, tethered cropped.
Look at that low playing! Fine, then. Uh oh,
overflow, population, common food, but it'll do. Save
yourself, serve yourself. World serves its own needs,
listen to your heart bleed dummy with the rapture and
the revered and the right, right. You vitriolic,
patriotic, slam, fight, bright light, feeling pretty
psyched.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.
Six o'clock - TV hour. Don't get caught in foreign
towers. Slash and burn, return, listen to yourself
churn. Locking in, uniforming, book burning, blood
letting. Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate.
Light a candle, light a votive. Step down, step down.
Watch your heel crush, crushed, uh-oh, this means no
fear cavalier. Renegade steer clear! A tournament,
tournament, a tournament of lies. Offer me solutions,
offer me alternatives and I decline.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.
The other night I dreamt of knives, continental
drift divide. Mountains sit in a line, Leonard
Bernstein. Leonid Brezhnev, Lenny Bruce and Lester
Bangs. Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom! You
symbiotic, patriotic, slam book neck, right? Right.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel
fine...fine...
(It's time I had some time alone)
Anderen zeggen : men zal ons versmoren.
mijn laatste cent is goddank reeds verteerd.
Ben ik gedwongen nu schulden te maken,
zet men mij morgen of heden op straat,
Frans Halsema
I'm hoping that you'll fall for me again
And never look back on what might have been
I pray that we can stay the best of friends
And in my heart I hope that you will fall for me again
Don't say there is no way
The things you loved before haven't changed
Well, I could find somebody new
Who wouldn't tear my heart in two
But I'd never get over you
T'Pau - China in your hand
We take a flight on the wings of fantasy
Then you push too far
And make your dreams reality
Yeah! China in your hand
But they're only dreams
And you shouldn't push too far

When I left my home and my family
my mother said to me
son it's not how many
germans you kill that counts
it's how many
people you set free
so I packed my bags
brushed my cap
walked out into the world
seventeen years old
never kissed a girl
I took the train to Voronezh
that was far as it would go
changed my sacks for an uniform
bit my lip against the snow
I prayed for mother Russia
in the summer of 43
and as we drove the germans back
I really believed
that God was listenin to me
we howled into berlin
tore the smoking buildings down
raised the red flag high
burnt the reichstag brown
I saw my first american
and he looked a lot like me
he had the same kind of
farmer's face
said he came from
some place
called Hazzard, Tennessee
when the war was over
my discharge papers came
me and twenty hundred others
went to Stettiner for the train
KIEV said the commissar
from there your own way home
I never got to kiev
we never came by home
the train went north to the taiga
we were stripped and marched in file
up the great siberian road
for miles and miles and miles and miles
dressed in stripes and tatters
in a gulag left to die
all because comrade stalin scared that
we'd become to westernized!
used to love mu country
used to be so young
use to believe that life
was the best song
ever sung
I would have died
for my country
in 1945
but now only one thing remains
the BRUTE will to survive...
Just think of all those hungry mouths we have to feed
Take a look at all the suffering we breed
So many lonely faces scattered all around
Searching for what they need
Is this the world we created
What did we do it for
Is this the world we invaded
Against the law
So it seems in the end
Is this what we're all living for today
The world that we created
You know that everyday a helpless child is born
Who needs some loving care inside a happy home
Somewhere a wealthy man is sitting on his throne
Waiting for life to go by
Oh, is this the world we created, we made it on our own
Is this the world we devastated, right to the bone
If there's a God in the sky looking down
What can he think of what we've done
To the world that He created
Scorpions - Wind Of Change
I folow the Moskva
Down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change
An August summer night
Soldiers passing by
Listening to the wind of change
The world is closing in
Did you ever think
That we could be so close, like brothers
The future's in the air
I can feel it everywhere
Blowing with the wind of change
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
in the wind of change
Walking down the street
Distant memories
Are buried in the past forever
I folow the Moskva
Down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams
With you and me
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
in the wind of change
The wind of change
Blows straight into the face of time
Like a stormwind that will ring the freedom bell
For peace of mind
Let your balalaika sing
What my guitar wants to
Bryan Adams - 18 'til I Die
I wanna be young the rest of my life
Never say no - try anything twice
'Til the angels come and ask me to fly
I'm gonna be 18 'til I die
Can't live forever thet's wishful thinkin'
Who ever said that must of bin' drinkin'
Don't wanna grow up I don't see why
I couldn't care less if time flies by
18 'til I die
Gonna be 18 'til I die
It sure feels good to be alive
someday I'll be 18 goin' on 55
18 'til I die
Anyway - I just wanna say
Why bother with what happened yesterday
It's not my style
I live for the minute
If ya wanna stay young
Get both feet in it
18 'til I die
A 'lil bit of this
A 'lil bit of that
'Lil bit of everything
Get cha right on track
It's not how ya look
It's what ya feel inside
I don't care when
I don't need ta know why
18 'til I die
Gonna be 18 'til I die
Ya it sure feels good to be alive
Someday I'll be 18 goin' on 55
18 'til I die
Ya there's one thing for sure
I'm sure gonna try
Don't worry 'bout the future
Forget about the past
Gonna have a ball
Ya we're gonna have a blast
Gonna make it last
18 'til I die
Iets zonder jou beslisten a-ah
Maar blijf je ook wakker om dat
Gajes te controleren
Oh ze naaien je beste maatje
Voordat je je kont kunt keren a-ah
Dus

I've been thinking all night about this song
The music's okay but I can't find words to say
I could sing that I'm a Virgin and show my tits
Decree how sex improves the world
In which masturbation is the thing of the day
"I'm afraid I haven't got that much to say"
I thought about "Hello, fool, I love you"
Or repeat a hundred times "How do you do"
I Wanna Dance with Somebody, hey, I like that sound
But there ain't nobody Humpin' Around
I wanna meet the man who wrote these lyrics (he must be great)
I wanna meet the man who wrote these songs
I wanna meet the man
I wanna meet the man
And while I sing these words to you
There's a Rat in my Kitchen, don't know what I'll do
Forget about the rat and sing along
Cause we feel so strong and we can't go wrong
We walk hand in hand to the promised land
I think I met the man who wrote these lyrics
I guess I have ignored the things he said
I think that I have noticed how expensive perfume
Never covers up a smelly breath
I wanna meet the man (8x)
“I had this dream where I relished the fray and the screaming filled my head all day. It was as though I'd been spit here, settled in, into the pocket of a lighthouse on some rocky socket, off the coast of France, dear.
One afternoon, four thousand men died in the water here and five hundred more were thrashing madly, as parasites might in your blood. Now I was in a lifeboat designed for ten and ten only, anything that systematic would get you hated. It's not a deal nor a test nor a love of something fated. The selection was quick, the crew picked and those left in the water got kicked off our pantleg and we headed for home.
Then the dream ends when the phone rings, you doing alright he said it's out there most days and nights, but only a fool would complain. Anyway Susan, if you like, our conversation is as faint as a sound in my memory, as those fingernails scratching on my hull.”
