Wouldn't be surprised if the finish was Kane interfering for the DQ as my guess is that Kane is turning heel and will be revealed as the guy who took out his brother. At least until they read this.
Extreme Rules from April is coming in at 185,000 buys, which would be about 106,000 buys domestic. Last year's show did 182,000, so while that looks like an increase it's actually down a bit in the sense that there are a larger percentage of overseas buys this year, and those are not equivalent to US buys since WWE makes less on the international buys. Also, last year's initial number was in the 192,000 range and fell from there, so there is a chance that when final numbers come in this year's show would be in the 175,000 range.
WWE is not only encouraging all the workers to get on Twitter, but they've also opened up a WWE Fan Nation YouTube channel. WWE has always been a little behind the times in certain areas of technology, and if you are wondering why all you have to do is watch the early episodes of NXT where Michael Cole was scripted to say things like only geeks use Twitter and search the Internet. It was probably pointed out how behind the times they were with their prime demo making goofy statements like that and so there has been a 180. It's still a bit goofy as the guys are being encouraged to Twitter, but only about their storylines, which pretty much makes following them pointless except for the comedy factor. The YouTube thing is interesting because they avoided it for a long time, perhaps partly because TNA had a YouTube channel and the feeling might have been that anyone can put things on YouTube and thus it was below the company to have their own channel when they could just host the videos themselves on their own Web site. But that has changed as well. The Fan Nation YouTube channel is actually pretty great because I went up there Sunday and they had a full good quality version of Friday night's Smackdown already up commercial free. Gone are the days where if you missed a show you had to see if someone could send you a tape, and that's a good thing.
Regarding the Evan Bourne push, part of it was that John Cena went to Vince and pretty much told him they were dropping the ball by not pushing Bourne. Cena has a lot of pull with management because, well, he's John Cena, but it's not like ’90s Shawn Michaels where he takes advantage of it and everyone wants to kick his ass. .

quote:-As noted before, former WWE Superstar Batista was at last night's Strikeforce MMA show in Los Angeles.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer asked Batista why he left WWE. Batista said he was sick and tired of WWE's direction and had to get out. He said that it wasn't the kind of wrestling he grew up watching and wasn't the product that he had always enjoyed.
Batista didn't rule out a return to WWE but did not seem in a hurry to work with the company again. Batista, who has lost some weight since leaving WWE, said he was out in Los Angeles looking for work. He was seen talking with Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker but The Animal entering the MMA world to fight seems highly unlikely.

Ow zit dat zoquote:- WWE claimed on TV that Joe Hennig is using the Michael McGillicutty name on NXT because the last name is his mother's maiden name and he wanted to honor the other side of his family. Actually, Hennig's mother was born Leonice Leonard, so it remains to be seen where the McGillicutty name came from. This could be related or not but McGillicutty was actually the maiden name of Lucy Ricardo on the hit 50's TV show "I Love Lucy."
