maar ben niet de enige die het nederlandse publiek nogal tam vond, van PG's tourdiary:
Last night's show in the Netherlands felt harder.
The venue was too big and although the audience was large it was too spread out. All the other shows so far have sold well and had people on the left and right giving Peter
a good overall surrounding of an audience. Here it was very hard for Peter and the audience to connect. But it still turned into a good show by the end, though it felt more polite than
the other shows so far - which has not been the norm for Dutch audiences in the past.
The orchestra is now right on form, the same level as where we left last time. They really get it and are nailing all of the complicated bits like in Mirrorball, Listening Wind
and Digging. It takes time for them to become an orchestra again and start to work off each other. My favourite sections seem to be the brass and woodwind as they seem to have a sense of humour. Eliza our flute player is very dry and always has a lot to comment on after a show. Frosty our main trombone player is always up ready for a good show, for some reason more then the string players- though it has to be said that Will Scolfield who is head of the cellos can be very funny, as can Fiona Bonds who has to reinterpret John Metcalfe's crazy viola playing. So maybe its just the violins that are a bit more serious. Lets see what happens on the rest of the tour.
Set wise there could be some more surprises on the way. Intruder is becoming quite permeant, though we really need to hear Wallflower, we did it in a sound-check the other day - but it still has not gone back into the set.
Lets see what happens in France.
zijn video opnamens gemaakt gisteren in Verona, dus er komt waarschijnlijk een dvd.
