It's not really an imposter as that person did not claim to be you. He or she apparently used your photo's to convince the rest of us that they were a cute chick. It's something we call cloning. An existing user registers a second account and makes up an identity. To give the account and identity some credibility they often engage in topics where users post pictures of themselves, by posting pictures of someone else.
There really is no way to check is the person posting the pictures is actually the same person as the person depicted. In this particular case the clone was a succesful one, since they even made it into our team of moderators. Until one of our users stumpled onto your pictures on your flickr(?) account and informed us.
We haven't seen that person on our forum since, although he or she is probably still posting or lurking here with their original account. We really have no solid way of checking this.
