En, here's another clue for you all:

Geniale lyrics moet ik toegeven, echter niet te vergelijken met de prachtige muziek van Here Comes the Sun.

Tja, ik ben fan van Harrison, maar vind dat hij betere nummers heeft geschreven, dus dat maakte de keuze nog wat makkelijker.

Als ik een Harrison-nummer in de finale had moeten voorspellen, was ik voor Something of While My Guitar Gently Weeps gegaan.



Het is ook gewoon een gezellig beest, een walrus.

Here Comes The Sun is een zeer aardig nummer maar verbleekt zowel muzikaal als tekstueel bij the Walrus (of A Day in the Life for that matter). Dus: I am the Walrus

Wat de neuk? Ik dacht even dat je sarcastisch was. Here Comes the Sun is juist heel goed. Je, de teksten zijn misschien niet zo goed als I Am the Walrus, maar teksten zijn niet alles. De gevoelens die Here Comes the Sun kan opwekken zijn heel mooi.

Zonder twijfel. Samen met "Ticket To Ride" m'n favoriete Beatles-nummer. Al is de tegenstander een prachtig liedje, komt het nog niet eens voor in mijn top 25. Mede door de totale afwezigheid van Lennon tijdens de opname-sessies. "Old Brown Shoe" daarentegen...

Waarom is Oh! Darling nou niet zo ver gekomen? Beter dan I Am the Walrus en Here Comes the Sun wat mij betreft.

I Am The Walrus en Here Comes The Sun staan waarschijnlijk niet eens in mijn top100 van Beatlesnummers, laat staan dat ze als 1e zouden eindigen. Maargoed, het volk heeft gesproken

Nou, met deze ronde wil ik wel mee doen: alle vorige waren me te moeilijk.

I am the walrus.

Da's toch meer een opmerkelijke klassieker dan (het op zich best mooie) 'Here comes the sun' en is voor deze keer wel een passend 'beste Beatles-nummer'. 'Here comes the sun' als 'beste Beatlesnummer' zou ik toch wat vreemd vinden omdat het niet bepaald een revolutionair nummer is. Het is een heerlijk opgewekte song en in z'n genre een topper, zal ik maar zeggen, maar geen baanbrekend nummer. En dus kan het niet het 'beste Beatlesnummer' zijn. Ook al draai ik 'Here comes the sun' al met al vaker dan 'I am the walrus'...! Op een of andere manier moet de winnaar van deze competitie toch een van die vele revolutionaire nummers zijn!

Dat was wel heel vaak het woord 'nummer' en 1 post...
