Phase 5 is characterized by human-to-human spread of the virus into at least two countries in one WHO region (Figure 4). While most countries will not be affected at this stage, the declaration of Phase 5 is a strong signal that a pandemic is imminent and that the time to finalize the organization, communication, and implementation of the planned mitigation measures is short.
Phase 6, the pandemic phase, is characterized by community level outbreaks in at least one other country in a different WHO region in addition to the criteria defined in Phase 5. Designation of this phase will indicate that a global pandemic is under way.

Maar goed, tot op heden zijn er toch alleen nog maar ziektegevallen die terug geleid kunnen worden tot Mexico. Dus om welke reden fase 5?

Preventief ofzo?
Gelden dan zeker extra veiligheidsregels, maatregelen etc etc waardoor preventiefe akties makkelijker zijn denk ik.
De committee hearing die morgen zou worden gehouden, is naar vandaag verschoven. Ofwel: WHO komt nu bijeen, om over een paar uur meer info te geven over fase-verhogingen. Er zijn compleet volle vliegtuigen uit mexico gekomen met aantoonbaar zieke mensen erin en tot op heden vallen we nog niet als bosjes dood neer. Er zit in elke trein wel iemand met een potentieel dodelijk virus.quote:

Op de eerste plaats, waar baseer je dat op? En ten tweede.... so? Voorlopig is er buiten Mexico nog geen dode gevallen.quote:

Denk dat het hier in NL nog wel mee kan gaan vallen, wij hebben geen springbreak achter de rug immers. En voor zover ik weet zijn er hier ook geen uitstapjes richting Mexico vanuit scholen. Ik heb er iig nog nooit van gehoord.
