Fok! Film Top 100 2008 - 7e editie

Ik heb het boek nog niet gelezen (helaas?). Het verhaal spreekt me aan. Maar het meest werd ik gegrepen door de krachtige beelden van Vidor en zijn crew; hoe de man vrouw relatie word weergegeven, ook de architectuur. Ook vind ik, in tegenstelling tot vele, het spel van Cooper erg goed. Perfect gecast voor deze rol als je het mij vraagt. De onverzettelijke Americaan waar hij vaak voor staat komt in deze film perfect uit, beter dan in zijn andere films vind ik (die ik gezien heb tenminste). Ook Patriaca Neal was in deze film erg goed, maar ook dat komt voor een groot deel door Vidor. Veel mensen klagen dat de film niets is waar het boek op lijkt, maar dat doet me niet zo veel. Het is een film, geen boek. En ik heb het nog niet gelezen, natuurlijk. Maar dat boek/film geouwehoer is altijd hetzelfde lied.

En ik ben een Max Steiner liefhebber.

Idd, vorige keren kwam het toch ook zeker een paar keer vaker voorbij op de fp.. Maar er kan wel een paar weken worden ingeleverd hoor, het was minstends een maand vanaf 20/7

Cwk, ik kan me niet herinneren dat je vorig jaar een lijstje hebt ingeleverd, of zit ik ernaast?

Deels wel. Maar ik mis films als The Godfather en Apocalypse Now die hij wel als topfilms ziet, maar uiteraard niet als romantische films. En 25 is een beetje kort he.
