Napoli To Serve Juve 'Pizza Lavezzi'?![]()
Juventus travel to Naples tomorrow night to take on the high-flying Partenopei. El Pocho will certainly be a thorn in the Bianconeri's side and the fans will hope the newly created 'Pizza Lavezzi' will be on the menu at the San Paolo.
There is a historic rivalry between the Azzurri and the Bianconeri that dates back at least 20 years, when Diego Armando Maradona wowed the peninsula's fans and lead the Partenopei to their first ever Scudetto.
The stadium will not be packed out tomorrow night, due to the lingering Curvas ban, but there will be at least 30000 people cheering on their heroes against the embattled Claudio Ranieri's Old Lady.
And the ex-Chelsea boss' back-line will have a hard time trying to keep quiet Argentine sensation Lavezzi. Last season the 23-year-old ran circles around the Juve defenders and was even awarded a spot-kick for a debatable Giorgio Chiellini's tackle in the 3-1 win over the Turin giants.
The livewire marksman has become a cult figure in the Campania capital: two days ago he dared to go shopping in the city centre, but the news spread quickly and over 200 fans 'assaulted' the store, with the police struggling to help El Pocho free himself and get back to his car.
And now the pizza capital of the world has even produced a special dish to honour the Beijing Olympic winner: the Pizza Lavezzi.
It's a special made Calzone in the shape of an L, which has salami, ricotta, chili and mozzarella among its ingredients, and has become immediately popular in Naples pubs and pizzerias. Will Ranieri's men be able to digest it tomorrow night?
