Even terugkomend op de Eelderbaan. Het open gedeelte tussen Vinkhuizen en De Held, lopend, zo'n beetje van het Hoendiep tot de Friesestraatweg, heet in zijn geheel de Eelderbaan. De bouwprojecten worden dan ook Eelderbaan genoemd, project Eelderbaan, wijk Eelderbaan etc. De straat die achter de Parelstraat/Parelflat en Opaalstraat is gerealiseerd, als onderdeel van het project Eelderbaan, is de Kwartsstraat.
