CZ., het realisme valt buiten mijn specialisatierichting - ik hou me voornamelijk bezig met de zeventiende eeuw. Maar ik heb hier wel een boek staan van twee docenten van mij, Erica van Boven en Mary Kemperink, getiteld Literatuur van de moderne tijd. Nederlandse en Vlaamse letterkunde in de 19e en 20e eeuw. Daarin komt het realisme wel aan bod. Staat misschien wel in je bieb, en anders heb ik 'm wel voor je te leen.

Het mooie van dat boek is dat het steeds een hoofdstuk 'Achtergronden bij de literaire ontwikkelingen [insert tijdvak]' biedt. Politiek, sociaaleconomisch, godsdienst, wetenschap en filosofie.
