Does that sound like anyone you know? Maybe yourself? Well my friend, internet just killed your wrestling star. Now, don’t get me wrong I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion, if you hate John Cena because of his five move finish or his superman abilities, then your entitled to chant "Cena Sucks". Yet, I want you to remember one thing before you tell your nephew or little brother to leave the room, that you were just the same. You sat their and cheered The Rock when Owen Hart was putting on a technical clinic, and you wore that hideous Hulkamania T-shirt and cheered your little butt off when he pointed at his opponent and said YOU! You ate up every last bit of the supermans of wrestling, and that's what made you a fan. You were a kid, and that is who the World Wrestling Federation cares about.

The greatest marketing strategy in the world for someone with a product to sell is , Hook them when they’re young. That is exactly what the WWE does every Monday and Friday night, they give you heroes to cheer for. They sell you hideous T-Shirts so people know who you love, and they give you that big pay off when it's expected. Of course it's predictable, that's why kids love it. Children don't want the heel winning the big match because he is technically sound or a swerve that turns their Hero evil. They don't criticize the champ because he wants everyone to love him and they sure as heck don't find anything wrong with their hero coming in and winning against the most unbelievable odds possible.

Yes, you grew up and the WWE no longer markets to your angst against society. They look at internet fans as "lifers" who they will never again please, and will never try to. Get over it. Maybe if you bought a couple more T-shirts you're opinion would matter, but in the eye of a business strategy, your demographic no longer does. You're hooked and no matter what they do, good or bad, you're not going anywhere. Maybe that's not a bad thing. Maybe if you were a little less cynical, if you didn't read all of those spoilers, if you would try to be a kid, then maybe, just maybe, wrestling could feel like it used to again. Give it a try. Cheer along with your nephew or little brother. At the very least, you gain someone else to watch the show with, and there isn't anything wrong with that.
