Als ik DW aanvink en opsla zie ik die niet verschijnen, dus het linkje is een beetje nutteloos.

Vandaag bij Free Record Shop de DVD box van Doctor Who S1 gevonden voor maar 15 euro. Een TW/DW seizoen is al gauw enkele tientallen ponden bij HMV, dus ik heb deze meteen meegenomen.

Inmiddels is de trailer (bioscooptrailer) onafgebroken te zien op een BBC-i stream op de Astra 2 sateliet. Deze wordt waarschijnlijk, net als voor de aanvang van voorgaande seizoenen en kerstspecials, constant herhaald tot de eerste aflevering verschijnt.
Overigens heb ik nog een tip voor de kijkers met BBC-i toegang. (Tenminste als het net zo gaat als vorig jaar. Maar de tekenen wijzen er wel op.) Tegelijk met de herhaling op BBC3 's zondags, wordt de uitzending namelijk ook op BBC-i uitgezonden. Het verschil is dat er geen logo in beeld is, geen omroeper door de eindtitels heen spreekt en er een tweede geluidsspoor is. Op dit spoor zit audiocommentaar van, per aflevering, wisselende personen (waaronder David Tennant, Russel T. Davies en andere medewerkers).

Sarah Lancashire has described her character, Miss Foster, in the latest series of Doctor Who as 'a slightly warped Mary Poppins'.
The former Coronation Street star plays the villainess in Doctor Who 4, which premieres on BBC 1 on Saturday night.
Sarah told the Daily Star her character is a 'Mary Poppins from Hell'.
Viewers will see her lead an invasion of Earth by a secret army of aliens, called the Adipose.
She said: "Miss Foster is, essentially, a nanny, a guardian to some rather unusual children. I see her as a slightly warped Mary Poppins. She's a strong woman.
"The first time I read the script I thought: 'Oh well, she's a baddy.' But the more I read it, I thought: 'No, she's doing what she's doing for legitimate reasons'."
The Adipose will be joined by classic Doctor Who frighteners the Daleks and the Ood - who first appeared in The Impossible Planet episode in 2006 - to keep the Doctor busy throughout the series.
Felicity Kendal and Peter Capaldi are among the stars making appearances during this series. Peter, 40, will play a ancient Roman called Caecilius, and Felicity puts on her stockings for an Agatha Christie-themed episode.

Ehm, de aflevering is net uitgezonden.. what's with the spoilers?

Ik vond dit een betere afsluiter dan vorig jaar.
Echter kan dit volgens mij maar twee dingen betekenen, als ze de serie door zetten.
A. Dit is het "Jump the Shark" moment. Torchwood wordt nooit meer zo goed.
B. Er zit een geweldige verhaallijn aan te komen, die op deze aflevering inhaakt.
Ik heb helaas meer het gevoel dat dit optie A wordt.
Echter kan dit volgens mij maar twee dingen betekenen, als ze de serie door zetten.
A. Dit is het "Jump the Shark" moment. Torchwood wordt nooit meer zo goed.
B. Er zit een geweldige verhaallijn aan te komen, die op deze aflevering inhaakt.
Ik heb helaas meer het gevoel dat dit optie A wordt.
