Als we het dan toch over UFC 78 hebben kan ik net zo goed mijn picks ff neerzetten!!
En dan mag het wel niet zo'n highly anticipated main event zijn met wat minder grote namen.. ik vind dit een geweldige card!!

Rashad Evans vs. Michael Bisping
Sorry haterz maar Bisping gaat gewoon winnen, ik hoop zelf ook dat hij een pak slaag krijgt van Evans maar ik zie Evans eerder KO gaan dan Bisping.

Houston Alexander vs. Thiago Silva
Houston gaat gewoon lekker door waar ie mee bezig is.. 1 round Knockouts!!

Frank Edgar vs. Spencer Fisher
Het gevecht waar ik het meest naar uitkijk op deze card! Dit gaat een all out brawl worden.. fast pace.. heavy hitting.. ik zou bijna zeggen K.O. gegarandeerd. Beide komen van een imo perfecte overwinning af dus ze zullen er beide vol voor gaan. Ik kan echt niet op dit gevecht wachten Wie zal een stapje richting Sherk/Penn doen en de ander achter zich laten.. ik gok op.. Fisher by decision, al is elk gevecht met Frenkie erin elke keer weer schitterend om te zien!!

Joe Lauzon vs. Jason Reinhardt
Tjeh ik weet niet al te veel over die Jason.. veel submission victories, maar ik ben wel een fan van de stijl die Lauzon heeft, Pulver en Melendez heeft ie al achter zich gelaten... respect!! Ik gok er dan ook maar op dat Lauzon gaat winnen.

Akihiro Gono vs. Tamdem McCrory
Tjaaaa.. Pete Spratt verslaan is één ding, maar Gono submitten? I don't think so.. dus ik denk dat The Barn Cat zijn meerdere moet erkennen in de veteraan. Misschien kan hij het 3 rondes volhouden maar het zou zomaar snel afgelopen kunnen zijn. Al is het wel een klein talentje vind ik

Marcus Aurelio vs. Luke Caudillo
Maximus zal er wel met de zege vandoor gaan.. ik kan me het gevecht van Caudillo in de UFC niet meer echt herinneren maar ik denk niet dat hij Aurelio kan verslaan.. 2nd round submission dan maar!

Ryo Chonan vs. Karo Parisyan
The Heat is back (and I hope better than ever!!). Zo zie je maar weer dat judoka's heel ver kunnen komen en ondanks dat Chonan een submission victory over Anderson Silva heeft zie ik Karo het gevecht winnen!! Waarschijnlijk via decision Parisyan kennende

Thiago Alves vs. Chris Lytle
Van Lytle krijg ik niet echt hoogte.. Alves is nog lang geen top contender maar zou er met veel werk wel kunnen komen. Hij heeft zich goed hersteld na zijn verlies tegen Jon Fitch. Aan de andere kant is Lytle volgens mij nog nooit Knockout gegaan en ik geloof niet dat Alves het echt van de submissions moet hebben, of wel? Lytle by submission? Ik weet het echt niet.. pure gok!

Ed Herman vs. Joe Doerksen
Zijn laatste optreden was alles behalve een tegenvaller, RNC op Scott Smith maar Joe is for real
Nooit de échte top bereikt maar een serieuze submission machine imo!! 2nd round wel te verstaan!

Ik heb er weer wat leuke, gekke voorspellingen tussen staan.. voor degene die het van plan was.. spaar je de moeite om mijn picks af te zeiken.. I don't give a shit!

Well, that’s how Miller told the story, anyway, during today’s HDNet Fights media conference call. And anyone familiar with the personable and carefree middleweight knows he may have taken some creative license with the storytelling.

HDNet Fights recently signed both Miller and Salmon — as well as co-main-event fighters Frank Trigg and Edwin Dewees — to contracts for the Dec. 15 event, which takes place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. “HDNet Fights: Reckless Abandon” airs live on HDNet in high-definition.

HDNet Fights matchmaker Guy Mezger today confirmed that both Miller and Trigg signed three-fight, nonexclusive deals with the upstart Dallas-based organization.

The signing of Miller came a just a month after the fighter officially severed ties with Zuffa LLC, the parent company of the UFC and WEC. Miller had been assigned to the WEC, but once he saw a way to escape, he said he took it.

Despite the fact that he was the only real contender to challenge WEC middleweight Paulo Filho, Miller said he had little incentive to stay with the organization.

“It’s pretty hard to get excited for (WEC) fights,” Miller said. “I know the WEC is pushing hard to be on par with the UFC, but I felt like I was back in high school wrestling again and fighting in front of 200 people. I wasn’t excited about my career.

“The Zuffa organization does a good job of trying to lock up their top guys forever. When I felt like I had an opportunity to leave, I did.“

Miller said he’s been treated phenomenally by HDNet Fights officials. However, he said the generous pay they offered (which was better than an offer he said he received from EliteXC), as well as the opportunity to fight outside the organization, is what convinced him to sign a contract.

“I have short amount of time to make a maximum amount of money beating people up,” Miller said. “I have no other job skills".
