Nieuwe album Madonna: dance, club en hiphop
LONDEN - Het nieuwe album van Madonna wordt heel anders dan de voorgangers. Op haar elfde studioalbum, release eind april in de Verenigde Staten, is veel dance, hiphop en clubmuziek te horen.
Dat zei Nate 'Danja' Hills, een van de producenten waar Madonna mee samenwerkte, tegen het muziekblad NME. Ook de beroemde producent Timbaland werkte mee. ,,Madonna vond zijn laatste album geweldig, daarom vroeg ze Timbaland om haar nieuwe plaat mee te produceren'', aldus Danja. ,,Madonna kwam de studio binnen, ging in een stoel zitten en chillde met ons. Ze is een heel makkelijk en cool persoon.''

Daphne Bunskoek belde net met Radio 538 over het interview met Madonna.
Madonna was erg mooi, maar wel gereserveerd. De interviewer voor Daphne was eruit gegooid na 5 minuten, omdat deze domme vragen stelde. Daphne kreeg 15 minuten en het ging vooral over het album. Andere vragen werden nauwelijks beantwoord. Madonna had het vooral over de CD en de toekomst bij Live Nation. Vragen over Britney werden flink afgestraft, dus Daphne heeft deze meteen geskipped!
Daphne heeft de nieuwe CD gehoord en die moet helemaal fantastisch zijn. Timbaland, Timberlake en toch het Madonna-sausje eroverheen... een topprestatie en vakmanschap zoals we van haar gewend zijn, waren de woorden van Daphne!
Half april wordt het interview uitgezonden op RTL4.

Candy Store - This is the same exact as the version which leaked months and months ago. (And we briefly talked about this on our community several weeks ago).
4 Minutes - Very high energy, back and forth between Madonna and Justin Timberlake the whole song. Timbaland speaks throughout, but does not rap nor sing on the track. The song ends with a breakdown and Timbaland's voice. The horn/trumpet sound we hear in the jingle ball clip lasts throughout the entire song. The song ends in kind of a breakdown. Madonna's final words are "tick tock tick tock tick tock" then the beat changes and the horns stop as it goes into a breakdown, with a few more "tick tocks" and Timbaland saying, ''uh , yeah... we only got four minutes'', beats stop, now silence... "to save the world" add Timbaland.
Give It 2 Me - Funky, dancey track, this time by Pharrell Williams, who is heard on the track.
Heartbeat - Has an 80's feel, totally catchy. Think "Future Lovers" only better! The chorus reflects one of the true Madonna/Pop moments on the album.
Miles Away - Melodic, haunting, while still catering to the target audience of this album. One of the best songs.
She's Not Me - Hip-Hop, cool, fresh, sexy and EDGY. Madonna sings to a partner about another girl and how this girl just can't measure up to Madonna. She tells him, "she can love you in the shower" but "she doesn't have my name".
Incredible - A sleeper track, this one is subtle at first, but its groovy beats can make it grow into a fan favorite.
Beat Goes On - Completely different, less melody and more beat driven than the demo that was leaked. As we already revealed on December 4, Kanye West raps rather long verse at the end.
Dance Tonight - This is a fun one. Totally old school, Madonna and Justin duet. Simple wood block beat throughout. "Inspirational" Hey You-ish bits in the chorus about not needing to be rich, famous and beautiful to be understood, with dance/club driven verses and bridge.
Spanish Lesson - In this filler Madonna speaks in various languages and keeps with the urban theme.
Devil - Previously known to fans as "Even the Devil Wouldn't Recognize You", it's neither a ballad nor a dance song. Could more fittingly be compared to the being the "Isaac" of the album. Fate, angels, stars, disguises and lies make up this cool, dark track that will have you "keep on comin' back for more" as one lyric goes.
Voices - Madonna stays with her recent theme of keeping the more wordy, reflective songs for her last track with this one. Probably the most lyrically deep song on the album, the song poses a range of trippy questions to the listener/subject and it has a bit of a slower tempo while still keeping a hot hip hop beat.

't klinkt zeker leuk 
Maar nog niet veel meer dan dat voor mij.. als nieuw Timbaland-nummer omarm ik het direct "jeui, weer een geweldige plaat!", maar een nieuwe Madonna-single doet me meestal meer..
Bij Hung Up en American Life heb ik weken lang een 20-seconden-fragmentje op repeat gehad omdat ik het zo geweldig vond.. nu heb ik het na 2 keer wel gehoord en denk "oke, leuk, ik hoor 'm nog wel eens als de HQ-versie uit is..."

Door het gebrek aan originaliteit kan het net zo goed ieder ander huppelkutje´s nummer zijn. Een kakfonische brei van geluid en beats zoals we al jaren te verwerken krijgen. Dit nummer in rij met 10 andere nummers van soortgelijke producers en je zou het Madonnanummer er niet tussen uit plukken.

of ik draai gewoon een oud album of inderdaad een Barbra. gelukkig is er nog keuze zat.
En wellicht dat het hele album toch anders uitpakt, hoewel ik vrees voor het ergste.

Het is wel een redelijk nummer maar als je dit met Music, Frozen, Like A Prayer, Live To Tell etc vergelijkt...
Daar heb jij geen kaas van gegeten!
Ik moet er erg aan wennen, maar dat moest ik ook bij Hung Up. Toen ik haar live optreden bij MTV zag was ik alweer om en ik vrees dat het bij dit liedje niet anders is. Valt me mee dat het inderdaad nog erg Madonna is. Wat wel weer tegenvalt is dat de radio het liedje volgens mij flink versneld heeft waardoor het één en al drukte is...

"This album is incredibly rich from a musical point of view", a source tells Madonna Tribe. "You can barely find a song with a traditional verse-chorus structure, most of the tracks have a more complex set-up with bridges, alternate verses and pre-choruses."

From what we hear - just to mention one song - Madonna performs four different melodies in "Voices" - no matter if this is one of the album's shortest tracks, and she sings them one right after another in an amazing sequence of music and lyrics.
