A date with Kristin Davis to the May 2008 premiere of the "Sex and the City" movie has been sold for a staggering $US52,100, it has been reported. The money will benefit charity Oxfam America, which is an international relief and development organization that creates lasting solutions to poverty, hunger and injustice.
Davis, a Golden Globe and Emmy award-nominated actress best known for her role of Charlotte York on HBO's "Sex and the City", auctioned off two VIP tickets to the "Sex and the City" movie premiere in New York City in an online sale on auction Website eBay early this month. The winner of the auction, simply identified as "superiorlotus912", will be meeting Davis personally during the movie premiere on May 27.
"superiorlotus912" and a friend will also have their hair and make-up professionally styled at the Prive Salon, and receive a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes. Greater than all, they will be driven to the movie premiere in a chauffeured car and then accompany Davis down the red carpet at the screening.
Davis' "Sex and the City" date surpassed Scarlett Johansson's date to the July premiere of her latest flick "He's Just Not That Into You" earlier this month which raised only $US42,000.
Other celebrities who have auctioned off dates include Charlize Theron and "Blood Diamond" star Djimon Hounsou.
Bij de SATC-film hoort natuurlijk ook een soundtrack, en één van de artiesten (naast Jennifer Hudson die de assistente van Carrie speelt) die nummers heeft opgenomen voor de film is Fergie. Normaal vind ik haar best leuke muziek maken, maar de themesong die ze heeft gemaakt is ronduit crap .
