Even wat nieuw nieuws:
As stories fly about how troubled entertainers like Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears or Tom Sizemore will stage attempts at career comebacks, I'm hearing another tarnished star is quietly strategizing his return to center stage.
None other than Michael Jackson has been meeting with a series of music industry insiders and promoters regarding a major new album and international concert tour to promote it -- possibly by the end of 2008 or early 2009.
A longtime Jackson associate told this column Friday, "This is something Michael is carefully planning. I think the album is going to be amazing. From what I've heard, it will be as big as 'Thriller' -- and yet will take his music in a new direction to appeal to new, younger fans -- but will still have those Michael touches his traditional fans love."
Apparently, Janet Jackson and some of Michael's brothers possibly will be involved, including doing duets with him on a number of tracks. "Can you imagine what a sensation it would be if Michael and Janet toured together," said the source, teasingly. "That is something that's being discussed."

Michael Jackson's hair reportedly takes three hours to style.
The 'Thriller' singer is in New York to be photographed for the cover of Italian Vogue magazine and spent hours having his hair styled to perfection.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Jackson has been holed up in a fancy Midtown hotel since Thursday (13.09.07) afternoon with an enormous entourage.
"Since he arrived he has only left once, at 5am, to take part in the 10-hour shoot for Italian Vogue.
"Before he left he spent three hours in the hairdresser's chair getting his hair done. That's longer than any supermodel took getting their hair done for New York Fashion Week."
Jackson has long been rumoured to wear a wig, with numerous photographs showing what appears to be a weave on his hairline.
The eccentric star famously burnt his hair after his locks accidentally caught fire while he was filming a Pepsi advert in 1984.
Jackson is believed to be appearing in a sprawling spread in the fashion bible, however, it is yet to be confirmed by Vogue.
Zou hij dan toch nog iets aan het doen zijn achter de schermen of is het weer gewoon bullshit?
