Greetings!

As you may already know, we were put to the test when Triggersoft (Gravity’s development team for ROSE) not only ceased development and technical support for ROSE Online but also shut down all operations recently. Many thought this was the end. But resilient as we are, we found a way to survive. We decided to follow the free to play business model, a risky and bold move, but one that we were willing to take… all to keep a great game going, keep everyone happy and most of all, keep our community solid, intact and alive.

ROSE was touted as THE game to play during its launch. We were able to make it the 2nd largest game in the Philippines with one of the most loyal and passionate gaming community this country has ever seen. It was supposed to have had the coolest features that one cannot find in other games, from simple joys like cute outfits, to big weapons of destruction such as the funky Castle Gear. And who could forget the world of the Seven Hearts, seven planets with its own unique environments and features.

We can keep on fighting but there is only so much we could do. And so, it is with deepest regret that we inform you that we will be shutting down operations for Philippine Rose Online on August 6, 2007, at precisely 3:00 PM.

We know how much pain this decision will bring to our loyal community. That is why, as a token of our appreciation, we shall be giving BONUS CREDITS TO OUR LOYAL ROSE PLAYERS (to their MylevelUp wallet) and reimbursing all unspent Moonies (see mechanics below).

In this regard, we’d also like to invite you to check out Ragnarok Online’s 15th Episode: Rachel
now in Sakray.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will cherish the 2 years that we've spent together. No experience will ever equal the things we've had together as friends and comrades.

* Oro - 4th Planet

Heliopolis is the first map introduced with this patch. This is an ancient city, currently in ruins. South of the town is a desert, where various tough monsters can be found.
One of the new features of this planet is the Mining Skill. When fighting monsters and exploring the map you will come across different types of Orogorudo Rock.
Depending on your mining skill you can mine the rocks to gain items and materials. To learn and upgrade the skill you must take part in quests which can be obtained from the Ferrel Guild Miners located around the Town.
There are 11 new monsters, ranging from level 160 to 220.

* The Mysterious Quest

This 12-part quest features over 200 lines of custom dialog and introduces 2 new areas. This quest is the beginning of the Oro Episode Quest.
You must complete this quest to be able to go Oro. To start, speak with Ruven at Junon.
We recommend you read the dialog carefully as you will learn a lot about the history and legend of Oro and will put you in a good position for when the Episode Quest is introduced.
Must be above Level 40 to start the quest and above Level 135 to go to Oro.

* Stat and Skill Reset

If you are Level 70 and above you can use the optional reset by speaking to the new npc 'Cornell's Grandson Cheney' at Zant.
Depending on your level the price of the reset will differ.
You can only reset once and only one of them. If you do a mistake there is no way to get your money back or undo the changes, so be careful!

* New Clan Features

For reaching 15,000 clan points, you can upgrade your clan to grade 4. To upgrade speak to the new NPC 'Regina' at Junon. Grade 4 adds access to the following features:

* Clan Battleground
* Clan Shop
* Clan Quests
* Clan Funds
* More members
* Orange clanname

* Clan Funds

We are proud to be the first and only server to implement a clan fund system. Clan funds is the currency used within the Clan Battleground. You can purchase over 30+ new items with the funds or spawn special superbosses for your clan to fight against.
To earn clanfunds you must take part in various Clan Quests which are focused mostly around the clanfields.
To avoid abuse only the Master or Deputy can spend Clan Funds.


* Clan Battleground

Here you can access most of the new clan features. It is the place to start and turn in Clan Quests and also the place to spend your Clan Funds.
Dotted around the map are 4 fighting circles. By each you will find a Battleground Staff member. When you spawn a superboss they will appear in the nearest fighting circle you are by.

Superbosses drop special Battleground Chests. Inside you may find special items, or items from the Clanshop. There is a small chance of getting useless items aswell, so you have been warned!

* Eldeon Clanfield

Another first, we have implemented Eldeon Clanfield. This is one of the biggest maps in ROSE, made up of forests, camps and mazes. The clanfield uses the Guardian system, so there are special types of Eldeon mobs who drop clanpoints and when you attack them, minions will spawn and try to kill you.
There is a small refuge camp within the clanfield, where you can purchase supplies and is important for some Clan Quests.
You must be in a Grade 3 or higher Clan to enter.

* Luna Training Ground

A brand new PVP map for players above Level 100 to use. Speak to [Akram Ambassador] Eliot at Magic City of the Eucar to enter.

* Gorge of Silence

The village at the Gorge is now mostly back to normal with villagers feeling safe enough to return. Level 88 armors and other equipment have been moved to the shops here.

* Valentine's Day Event

Starting with release of the patch, this event will last for the next week and a bit. Judy in Zant has a problem with the Love Pigs from Love Island. You have to go to Love Island and retrieve items from them.
Love Island features 4 types of new monsters, with special spawn patterns and techniques. You'll also be pleased to know we addressed the problem with stealing drops from Christmas Event, and the items will now automatically appear in your Quest Window on the kill.
There are several unique items which can be obtained by taking part in the Event.

* Bug fixes and improvements

As always we've fixed a bunch of bugs and issues raised by the community.
Socket Jewels now have Confirm options when you drop them, to avoid dropping valuable gems by mistake. Donations items which were wrongly displayed have been fixed.
And probably most importantly, the level cap has been raised to 214


There is also one other surprise which I will allow Donan to add when he has finished.
