Er is trouwens een enorme opsplitsing qua politieke richting in The Sopranos. Mensen als James Gandolfini zijn eigenlijk heel sociaal-democratisch (voor zover dat kan in Amerka), terwijl Tony Sirico zo conservatief rechts is als de pest; een echte Bush-fan in hart en nieren.... Paulie zou je niet zo snel zien in een Hillary clipje .

Mja, in de series vind ik het bv. niet erg dat ze heel Christelijk zijn (hoort er nou eenmaal bij, plus het hypocriete eraan maakt het komisch!) of dat ze op Bush stemmen (Edie Falco of James G. die op Bush stemmen IRL? Yeah right!) in de series, of dat ze allerlei andere minderheden keihard afkraken, maar ik heb altijd het idee dat Paulie in het echt ook gewoon Paulie is. ben in spanje op vakantie, zag ik gister de aflevering van tony met die goomar van z´n pa uit seizoen 5, maar dan in het spaans. Ongeloofelijk hoe slecht, snap niet dat men dat hier gewend is.
In Italie is ie ook niet echt aangeslagen. Had het er over met een groepje Italianen en die begonnen meteen te janken over stereotypes, discriminatie (zie Columbus Day episode ), terroni, Napoli is geen Italie, boevenstaat etc

Leuke theorie! Ik heb gister de laatste 3 episodes gekeken en was in eerste instantie niet echt blij met het einde. Maar na een kleine bezinking vond ik het eigenlijk toch wel een goed einde. Maar toch kan ik me niet helemaal vinden in bovenstaande theorie. Sowieso niet omdat de droomafleveringen normaal gesproken een ander karakter hebben en dat de laatste aflevering een redelijk 'logisch' vervolg was op de voorafgaande. Toch blijven er wel een paar vraagtekens die je in die theorie inderdaad terugvindt. Tony wordt anders wakker dan dat hij in slaap gevallen is en waarom zou Harris überhaupt Phil aan Tony 'overhandigen'?! Ook het einde heeft - achteraf gezien - veel weg van het ontwaken uit een droom.

achnee tuurlijk is het geen droom, dat is nog de meest onnozele theorie imo. Aangezien de droomscenes idd een totaal ander karakter hadden. Harris wilde tony gewoon uit sympathie helpen en het hoeft niet dezelfde dag te zijn dat tony wakker wordt als dat ie in slaap viel

hmm vorige week seizoen 2 gekocht, heb tot nu toe alleen 1 en 2 origineel, nog maar even wachten met de rest tot die ultieme collectie uit is dus
Hoewel ik HD-DVD/Blu-Ray een succesje gun ofzo hoor, vraag ik me af wat de meerwaarde er van is. Eén seizoen op één schijf, okee. Maar Tony's vet in full high definition, hm.... daarentegen... z'n goomah's...quote:
