The Football Association has submitted its provisional 30-man Under-21 squad to Uefa ahead of this summer's European Under-21 Championship. Preston striker David Nugent is included, as is uncapped Everton forward James Vaughan. West Ham defender Anton Ferdinand is one of several Premiership regulars included in the squad. Coach Stuart Pearce will name a final squad of 23 players on Wednesday 30 May for the tournament in Holland.
Prior to the Championship, the U21s will travel to Spain for a training camp in the week beginning 21 May.
After the squad is trimmed to 23, they take on Slovakia in their final warm-up game at Norwich City's Carrow Road stadium on Tuesday 5 June. The U21 Championship begins on Sunday 10 June with England's opening fixture against the Czech Republic being played in Arnhem on Monday 11 June.

Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio is the new face in Italy's provisional 30-man squad for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in the Netherlands.
Marchisio, 21, has played 22 games in Serie B with the Bianconeri. "Being called up by the U21s is a dream come true," he said. "Unfortunately I'm recovering from a slight injury but coach Pierluigi Casiraghi has told me not to worry about that. I hope to convince him to take me to the Netherlands." AS Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani, 22, returns to the fold after recovering from the knee problem which has forced him to miss the majority of the season. The five-time U21 champions are in Group B with Serbia, England and the Czech Republic. Casiraghi will cut his squad to 23 players on 30 May.

Midfielder Daniel Pudil is in the Czech Republic's 30-man provisional squad for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship following a spell in the senior ranks.
The 21-year-old FC Slovan Liberec starlet made his full debut in a friendly against Belgium in February, but has been named in Ladislav ¦korpil's selection along with two foreign-based players, FC Moskva defender Roman Hubník and Bayer 04 Leverkusen forward Michal Papadopulos. Other notable inclusions are 19-year-old Liberec striker Jan Bla¸ek, who has scored six league goals this season, and SK Slavia Praha midfielders Michal ¦vec and Petr Janda, who won bronze medals at the 2006 UEFA European Under-19 Championship. The squad will gather on 28 May, with the 23-man party for the finals to be announced by 30 May.

Newcomers Aleksandar Kesić, Du¨an Tadić and Filip Djordjević have been named in Serbia's provisional 30-man squad for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
Goalkeeper Kesić, midfielder Tadić and striker Djordjević are the fresh faces in Miroslav Djukić's selection. With several players expected to be involved in the senior side's UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifier in Finland on 2 June, the coach is keen to keep things calm, saying: "We will not be playing friendly games because I want my players to relax." The squad will be cut to 23 on 28 May with the players assembling in Novi Sad to begin preparing for the finals in the Netherlands three days later.
