Message for all forum members
The Postcrossing Team and they are Paulo, Ana, Soili (Soilian), Vicki (Mundoo), and Debashis (Gridlock) are thrilled and pleased to have so many Finnish members of postcrossing.
Finland has shown the rest of the world how great their country is through their enthusiasm, postcards, friendliness and sheer numbers of people participating in this great communication project.
We are sick to death of the lesser country members going on and on and on about 'oh no, another card to/from Finland'. So what!
From my perspective in Australia it a sheer pleasure not to be complaining about 'not another card to/from USA' (no offence to the USA members but that is what most of Australia's perspective seems to come from) or the Finland members not complaining about 'oh no, not another card to/from Germany' and the USA members not complaining about 'oh no not another card to/from The Netherlands'
Paulo is well aware of the complaints of the minority members, Paulo has tried to make it fair to the rest of the world without placing a burden on the Finnish members enthusiasm. He is doing the absolute best he can with the addresses that are given out.
Having many users (in Finland) is actually a good thing for postcrossing: the bigger the community, the better; and this is about postcards and people, not just countries, right?
If the amount of users is unbalanced, blaming Finland doesn't solve the problem.
I wish those complaining users used their energy to advertise postcrossing in their own countries instead of complaining about the fact that Finland has lots of postcrossers. It doesn't help Paulo or Postcrossing and doesn't help themselves either.
The answer is recruit more members from your country.
Ja
