Het boek Harry Potter en het Vervloekte Kind, dat is gebaseerd op het script van het toneelstuk, kwam ook dit weekend uit. In het verhaal is Harry 37 jaar oud, werkt hij bij het Ministerie van Toverkunst en heeft hij drie kinderen. De Nederlandse vertaling wordt in november verwacht.
In verschillende landen, waaronder Nederland, waren boekhandels speciaal in de nacht van zaterdag op zondag open ter gelegenheid van de verschijning van het boek. Het vorige deel, Harry Potter en de Relieken van de Dood, kwam in 2007 uit.
Het toneelstuk in het Londense Palace Theatre breekt op dit moment alle records en is tot tot en met mei 2017 uitverkocht.

right, it would work, and no one would have to get nailed to

it, a terribly stupid catastrophe occurred, and the idea was

omissions and contains much that is apocryphal, or at least wildly
inaccurate, it scores over the older, more pedestrian work in two
important respects.
First, it is slightly cheaper; and secondly it has the words Don't
Panic inscribed in large friendly letters on its cover.
But the story of this terrible, stupid Thursday, the story of its
extraordinary consequences, and the story of how these
consequences are inextricably intertwined with this remarkable
book begins very simply.
