Zin in!
Pool B lijkt me een mooie.
Hoever zit Nederland qua niveau hier eigenlijk vandaan.
http://www.espn.co.uk/rug(...)miss-rugby-world-cupquote:Aaron Cruden is clinging on to his World Cup dream after rupturing his left knee's anterior cruciate ligament at the weekend. It is an injury that has a six-month recovery timescale.
The All Blacks fly-half sustained the injury during the first-half of the Chiefs' win over the Crusaders with the knee now requiring reconstruction. He is expected to see a specialist on Wednesday.
The news of Cruden's injury will come as a bitter blow for All Blacks coach Steve Hansen and he will focus on supporting the playmaker through the coming weeks.
"It's obviously hugely disappointing for Crudes and we will be supporting him as he goes through this tough time and we wish him all the best with his surgery and rehab over the next few months," Hansen said. "He has developed in a very good Test All Black and is a key member of our team. He will be a loss for the Chiefs and the All Blacks.
"As we know in the game of rugby, there are always going to be injuries and as selectors we plan for these unfortunate events and are constantly looking to build depth in all positions across the team."
For Cruden, his World Cup hopes may now be restricted to being a late injury replacement if one of his team mates sustains a knock mid-tournament. The last World Cup saw fourth-choice fly-half Stephen Donald kick the World Cup-winning penalty after Dan Carter, Colin Slade and Cruden all succumbed to injuries and a similar twist of fate could see Cruden handed a last-minute reprieve.
Cruden said: "If you look at the last World Cup, there were a few injuries and guys getting called in late so I guess, all going well with my rehab and recovery, who knows what can happen."
The All Blacks have plenty of options at fly-half with Dan Carter, Beauden Barrett, Colin Slade and Lime Sopoaga all in the frame for a spot in the World Cup squad but for Cruden, he is left to focus on recovery.
"I'm extremely disappointed and quite frustrated," he said. "This year I had a lot of goals - winning the Super Rugby title with the Chiefs and then the World Cup later in the year, playing a major part in that for the All Blacks. For me now, it's about re-evaluating those goals, setting other ones and ripping into my rehab and recovery as soon as possible."
