Een deel hiervan wist ik wel (het scheelt als je The Daily Show volgt), maar ik betwijfel dat dit enig effect gaat hebben op de campagne van McCain.

De kaarten zijn voor het grootste deel al verdeeld. Helaas speelt het feit dat Obama een kleurtje en een rare naam heeft veel meer dan wat de tegenkandidaat inhoudelijk te bieden heeft.

Sowieso heb ik de indruk dat Palin het onderwerp van gesprek is. Ongelooflijk dat mensen zo'n simpele ziel als (vice-)president willen omdat ze zo lekker als "normaal" overkomt.

Overigens staat Obama nu op 277 kiesmannen in de peilingen, waarbij verschillende staten nog niet beslist zijn (toss-up). Dat is dus al meer dan de 270 die er nodig zijn om president te worden. Het lijkt een kansloze missie voor McCain te worden.
