De media berichten dat Zak Starkey uit de band stapt, waarschijnlijk door een conflict met Noel.quote:Op maandag 12 mei 2008 23:15 schreef MCH het volgende:
Oasis member quits, er is weer iets aan de hand.
Haha!! Die laatste zin!!quote:Zak Starkey, the son of Beatles tubthumper, Ringo Starr, has been banging the drums for Oasis for the last four years but, according to reports in The Sun, has fallen out with band supremo Noel Gallagher.
A source (who else?) told the newspaper: "There have been argumemts with Noel Gallagher and general disagreements.
"It looks like the album will be his last involvement with the band."
Starkey is the third person to have occupied the drum stool, a position previously held by Alan White and Tony McCarroll. While none of them have choked on vomit (theirs or anybody else's), all have left under something of a cloud.
En van de officiële website over de gelekte demo's:quote:Noel Gallagher yet again joined Russell Brand on his weekly BBC Radio 2 show by phone for the usual shenanigans.
They talk about a number of diverse subjects that include, Winning a Sony Radio Award, Russell's Booky Wook, Noel's ego and more.
Noel also confirmed "September" for the release of the new Oasis album, but refused to be drawn on the exact date, claiming "his manager" would tell him off for messing up the launch by letting the date just slip out.
Russell was winding him up by saying things like "Ooh, it'll be as exciting as the release of the new Harry Potter book and Grand Theft Auto"!
You can listen to the show again by clicking here, you can also download the podcast from Tuesday.
quote:A number of old Oasis songs have appeared on the internet amidst claims that the band's new album has leaked.
The songs are actually all old demos from previous sessions and well informed fans will have known that these tracks have been in circulation for some time. In fact, most are versions of songs that have already been released.
None of the songs are from sessions for the band's new studio album.
quote:Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher was branded a superhero after he jumped in front of an out-of-control car. He was determined not to Roll With It as evil forces sent the empty Smart Car careering towards him.
Noel, 40, milder mannered than hellraiser rock brother Liam, battled the motor head-on and stopped it smashing into a row of houses. A pedestrian in Marylebone, central London, said: “Noel lives in the area and must have been taking a walk in the weekend sunshine when the car buzzed by. It was flying down the road with no-one inside and heading straight for some houses. “He jumped out in front of the car and pushed at it with all his might.”
The car’s unnamed owner was visiting a friend in a nearby house but forgot to apply his handbrake. When the surprised driver came back outside he was confused when he couldn’t find his car, before Noel reunited man with motor.
The source added: “The owner looked very embarrassed, but Noel took it all in good humour.”

Happy birthday meneer Gallagher, dat je nog vele jaren mooie songs mag schrijven en vooral door blijft gaan met je akoestische sets
