Al aantal jaar is er een strijd gaande tussen de voetbal games van EA (Fifa) en die van Konami(ISS en PES). Ook dit jaar komt EA met Fifa 2004 en Konami met de zeer succesvolle Pro Evolution Soccer 3. De eerste 2 delen van PES verkochten als zoete broodjes en werd ook door veel critici bestempeld als dé voetbal game. Ook in Japan is de game razend populair, al wordt het daar met een andere naam verkocht namelijk 'Winning Eleven 7'.

Als we Konami mogen geloven zal de AI van de spelers een stuk verbeterd zijn. Ook de graphics zijn flink opgepoetst en de sfeer van het publiek een stuk beter geworden. We kunnen natuurlijk ook weer de verschillende mode's verwachten. Zoals de 'Master League' die natuurlijk een stuk uitegebreider en spannender is. De game zal console exclusief blijven voor de PS2, maar de mensen met een PC kunnen ook gaan genieten van deze game. Op 28 november kunnen wij deze game gaan verwachten.

Spel Features

Jaja, de nieuwe PES komt uit. Elk jaar ren ik rond november naar de gamesshop om deze footygame te halen.
Ik zal eerlijk bekennen dat ik eerst FIFA speelde, maar na het lezen van een paar goede reviews had ik besloten om toch maar eens die andere game die toen nog in de schaduw van FIFA stond te proberen. De aankleding is misschien beter verzorgt in FIFA maar PES is inhoudelijk zoveel beter. FIFA heeft standaard een paar "fouten" in het spel waardoor je snel kunt scoren. En alle wedstrijden die je speelt lijken allemaal op elkaar, bij PES is iedere wedstrijd totaal anders. Hierdoor heeft PES een veeeel langere levensduur dan FIFA.

Pro Evolution Soccer 3 komt ook naar de Xbox

Konami heeft op de X03 bekend gemaakt dat de voetbaltopper Pro Evolution Soccer 3 naast een PS2 en PC incarnatie, ook op de Xbox zal verschijnen. De release van het spel is net als van de andere twee versies tegen het eind van dit jaar en de Xbox versie zal Xbox Live ten volle ondersteunen, waaronder ook XSN Sports zodat je uitslagen netjes bijgehouden zullen worden.

Verder is er nog niet veel bekend in hoeverre de Xbox versie van de andere twee versies zal verschillen. Wel is duidelijk dat de PS2 met deze port een sterkte troef is kwijtgeraakt. Pro Evolution Soccer 2 was voor veel voetbalfanaten namelijk een reden om dit platform in huis te halen. Bij het derde deel liggen de zaakjes, na deze aankondiging, echter ietwat anders.
