THE RETURN OF THE SEA AND CAKE
The sea and cake are returning to London on Monday 27th January 2003 They are playing a show at the Union Chapel in London and tickets priced 12 pounds are available from either www.wayahead.com or Stargreen on 0207-734-8932. The band will be over supporting their new lp ''One Bedroom'' released in January by Thrill Jockey records.

OTHER NEWS
The show with Nina Nastasia on Dec 5th features Daniel Smith of the Danielson Famile performing the Nine Fruit Tree and this is a solo show and not the whole of the Danielson Famile as previously announced. But new ATP recordings stars Threnody Ensemble will be opening this show and are well worth checking out. So it looks set to be a good night.

The Fall are back in London this week at the Electric Ballroom and they are supported by an really good new band called Nought. The date is November 21st -See below for tickets.

Tickets are selling fast for ATP UK and now all 4 and 5 berths are becoming scarce so don't leave it too late.

CAPTAIN BEEFHEARTS LEGENDARY MAGIC BAND REUNITE AFTER 20 YEARS!
We are proud and very happy to announce that The Magic Band have reformed and will be appearing at the UK ATP in April at Camber Sands. The band who have not played for over 20 years are reuniting to perform at ATP and a London show at Shepherds Bush Empire in April 2003. The line will feature Magic Band members Mark 'Rockette Morton' Boston on bass, John 'Drumbo' French on drums, Gary 'Mantis' Lucas on guitar and Denny 'Feelers Reebo' Walley on guitar. They will perform selected works of Captain Beefheart from classic albums such as Trout Mask Replica, Lick My Decals Off, Baby and Safe as Milk. For those unexposed to their genius, these shows will be a rare chance to experience the wildly influential and seminal group first hand.

Please note that Captain Beefheart himself retired from music 20 years ago and will not be performing at these shows so don't even go there!

With the 8 berths already sold, it won't be long before the 4 or 6's go and we will be virtually sold out. This is not to wind you up, just to give you a gentle reminder so you don't leave it too late. I quite like the fact that some of you are writing to ask me if the tickets are selling fast or if I am winding you up. So for the record - it is selling fast and you should book soon as to avoid disappointment.

NEW ATP RECORDING RELEASE

We are pleased to announce that Threnody Ensemble will be releasing their new album entitled Timbre Hollow on ATP recordings on January 11th 2003 When asked what they sound like my reply is this:
Threnody Ensemble captivated and mesmerised all at this year's ATP festival. festival. A slow-mo symphony burning bright. Like the good bits of Radiohead played by a chamber orchestra"

WHAT YOU GET AS PART OF YOUR UK TICKET

Some of you have enquired what is this bloody event all about as you have never been so here is a brief rundown of what to expect. Tickets for the event cost 110 pounds and include entry to the festival that starts Friday 4 April at Noon until Monday 7 April at 10am. The Ticket also includes 3 nights accommodation in a private chalet that comes with private bedding, private bathroom with WC and shower, Kitchen with cooking facilities, fridge etc and a lounge with a colour TV. The event is curated by Autechre who are selecting the whole line up and will include live acts and djs and there are still quite a few names to add. The event is held in the Camber Sands Holiday Centre which is in East Sussex and is 60 miles from London. It can be accessed by Trains from London to Rye or by car and all directions will be sent out with tickets along with details on our new reconstructed website which is being built at the moment. The venue is 5 mins away from a gorgeous beach and is 5 miles from the historical and beautiful town of Rye but the on site facilities of a bar til dawn, go karting which will be open this year, swimming etc should keep you occupied and there is also a TV channel programmed by Autechre. Tickets must be purchased in the minimum of 4 berths and they go up as 5, 6, 7 and 8 berths. So basically a 4 berth sleeps 4 people and to buy a chalet for this you must pay 4 x 110 pounds which is what per person ticket costs + the booking fee of 5 pounds so we can process your credit card.
