Overigens heb ik vandaag niet iemand gesproken die net een PS2 had en die wat spellen wilde kopen. Dus ik meteen VC aanraden, een heel verhaal gehouden en op een gegeven moment zeg ik: "En het speelt zich helemaal af in de 80'ies!!!" Dat had ik niet moeten doen, want hierop zei-ie meteen: oh, dat is dan weer minder:{.

Ach, hij is het niet eens waard om VC te spelen .

Having just made it back onto the streets of Liberty City after a long stretch in maximum security, Tommy Vercetti is sent to Vice City by his old boss, Sonny Forelli. They were understandably nervous about his re-appearance in Liberty City, so a trip down south seemed like a good idea. But all does not go smoothly upon his arrival in the glamorous, hedonistic metropolis of Vice City. He's set up and is left with no money and no merchandise. Sonny wants his money back, but the biker gangs, Cuban gangsters, and corrupt politicians stand in his way. Most of Vice City seems to want Tommy dead. The Story
You are Tommy Vercetti. Released from maxiumum security prison after 15 years of isolation, your boss Sonny Forelli is not very happy about your re-appearance in the city.

Tommy was arrested for a very gruesome incident, and the word on the streets was that the Forellis had set Tommy up. Tommy however was as loyal as a hitman could be, and never revealed his connections to the Forellis.

Considering all this, a trip to the south sounded like a good idea, so you're sent off to Vice City with business as an excuse.

On arrival in Vice City, all does not go well. Tommy is betrayed, and his allies turn out to be his enemies. Once Forelli demands his money back, Tommy sets off with a corrupt lawyer to fight back and take over the glamorous paradise.

Instead of 8-Ball, Tommy's sidekick will be Lance. They meet in the beginning sequence when Tommy loses his money, and Lance's brother gets shot. As Tommy was a good friend of Lance's brother, Lance feels connected to Tommy, and together they work to get revenge

Platforms
PlayStation2
At the moment GTA: Vice City is in development for the PS2 console. It is scheduled for release at the end of October.

PC
Rockstar have expressed interest in porting the game to the PC system, and this decision is almost completely sure.

The probability that the game will come out for a platform other than those two is quite low. But anything can happen!
