Net toen ik dacht dat Bridge aanvallend niets kon, scoort ie. Maar wel met een blessure. Die keeper komt ook als een gek uitrennen

Nou rust, 0-1. Eerste 25 waren zeer aardig van Wycombe. Zelfs1 behoorlijke kans kunnen creeren. Daarna nam Chelsea het initiatief over, waaruit ook de goal viel. Geweldig is het niet te noemen, maar dit is een kwestie van goede uitslag neerzetten en op naar de return.

En die Mooney, wat een type, haha.

Wat een drama dit. Die tweede helft sloeg he-le-maal nergens op. Ze mogen zich schamen,. Complimenten trouwens aan Wycombe, die waren de tweede helft niets minder.

Foutje op de vi site. Ze denken dat dit de FA cup is waarbij je bij een gelijke stand pas een replay krijgt .

Ruim een week geleden foeterde José Mourinho dat Chelsea kwaliteit mist. De woorden van de Portugese coach werden bevestigd tijdens de halve finale van het toernooi om de League Cup. Vierdedivisionist Wycombe Wanderers sleepte een replay uit het vuur: 1-1.
Michael Ballack en Salomon Kalou waren twee van de spelers waarover Mourinho zijn teleurstelling uitsprak. Volgens de coach hadden zij moeite om zich aan te passen aan het Engelse voetbal. Tegen het opportunistische Wycombe werd dat eens te meer duidelijk. Ballack sneeuwde onder op het middenveld en Kalou was vrijwel onzichtbaar als centrale aanvaller.

De oud-Feyenoorder stond wel aan de basis van de 1-0 voorsprong voor Chelsea. Op aangeven van Kalou kon Wayne Bridge (foto) alleen op het doel van Wycombe afstormen en de verdediger schoot de bal met een boog over de uitkomende doelman Ricardo Batista.

De goal kwam voort uit een van de sporadische momenten dat Chelsea gevaarlijk werd. In de tweede helft kreeg de Londense ploeg zelfs helemaal geen kans. En dat terwijl er met onder meer Ballack, Mickaël Essien en Claude Makélélé toch erkende sterren op het veld stonden.

Wycombe bleek onvermoeibaar en kreeg een kwartier voor tijd de beloning. Na doorkoppen van aanvoerder Tommy Mooney tekende Jermaine Easter de gelijkmaker aan en mag Wycombe voor een beslissing Stamford Bridge bezoeken

Ook al had Wycombe hier gewonnen er word gewoon altijd een replay gespeelt, sinds dit jaar tenminste anders was er gewoon een verlenging gekomen.

Dat is inderdaad een aardige blunder . Vind het altijd zo raar als dit soort sites die fouten maken. Dat is zowat het eerste wat ik doe, als ik een toernooi ga volgen: de regels lezen.

Hopelijk laat Jose z'n kantoortje wel netjes achter dan kan Guus d'r zo in

Wil kaarten bestellen voor de thuiswedstrijd maar de verkoop is nog niet begonnen, weet nu waarom;

Arsenal and Tottenham chiefs were locked in an extraordinary dispute last night after it emerged that tickets for their Carling Cup semi-final have yet to go on sale because of a row over their respective allocations.

It is understood the relationship between Gunners chief executive Keith Edelman and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has become so strained that they have been forced to call in the Football League to thrash out a solution.

Carling Cup rules say both clubs are entitled to 15 per cent of the opposition ground capacity, but Arsenal refuse to give Tottenham 9,000 tickets for the second leg at their 60,000-seat Emirates Stadium because of safety concerns.

They have offered just 5,000 and claim to have correspondence from the Football Licensing Authority advising against giving their big rivals the full allocation.

Levy, who has yet to finalise a pricing policy with Arsenal, is understood to be furious with the percentage allocation and, in return, has offered just 4,000 for the first leg at White Hart Lane.

In Tottenham's quarter-final, visitors Southend United took up their full 5,500 allocation.

Arsenal claim it would be 'impossible' to give Spurs the full 15 per cent because of crowd segregation issues. Spurs insist they want 'parity on percentage'.

Traditionally, Arsenal also reduce admission charges for League Cup ties and they are determined to continue that trend for the second leg on January 31.

Tottenham, who are entitled to 45 per cent of the gate receipts from both legs, were insisting they sell tickets at the full price, although that issue looked closer to being resolved.

Because of the impasse, the Football League board will convene on Thursday to break the deadlock.

But Spurs are upset that it leaves them only five days to sell tickets ahead of next Wednesday's first leg.

A League spokesman said: "They can't agree. There will be written submissions from both clubs and then the board will make a decision."


Oftewel, Arsenal moet niet moeilijk doen en gewoon 15% geven en de sperz moeten hun prijzen omlaag flikkeren.

Elk stadion in Engeland is in te delen wat dat betrefd, een groen netje er overheen en klaar.
Het probleem ligt voornamelijk na de wedstrijd waar 9000 sperz supporters tesamen met 51.000 Arsenal supporters het stadion verlaten maar ik zie het probleem niet zo.

Ticket Prices
“The Club submitted documentation to the Football League in relation to the ticket pricing policy for the Carling Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur at Emirates Stadium. In line with our Carling Cup ticketing policy, where pricing is significantly reduced, the Club proposed that all tickets within the stadium would be priced at £40 in the upper tier and £30 in the lower tier, together with concessions for children and OAPs for all areas of the stadium, including the away section.

“The two clubs did not agree on this policy and the Football League ruled that we had to implement our Category B pricing structure whereby tickets cost between £32 and £66. The Club reluctantly accepted this judgment but appealed that concessions were to be made available in all areas of the ground. We are therefore pleased that the Football League has reviewed its decision to activate concessions throughout the stadium as it will make the match more affordable for families to attend.”

Ticket Allocation
“In relation to the ticket allocation for away supporters for the tie at Emirates Stadium, the Club is pleased that the Football League upheld its decision to cap the number at 5173, as the safety of spectators is paramount. Emirates Stadium has been designed to host up to 9000 away supporters for a cup competition fixture in line with the 15% regulation. However, to date, we have not hosted a cup match at Emirates Stadium and were therefore advised by the Football Licensing Authority and Islington Council, as well as supported by the Met Police, that it was unsafe to make the considerable increase from 3000 to 9000 away supporters in one single step.

“On the upside, as a result of accommodating over 5000 away supporters for the first time at Emirates Stadium on January 31st, we will be in a position to review the opposition’s allocation with the necessary parties for future cup ties. This will hopefully enable the Club to provide visiting teams with the maximum 15% allocation for the FA Cup and Carling Cup competitions.

“We now look forward, to what we hope will be, two exciting derby matches between the two north London sides.”
