In the intervening years of course we've had some of the most important electronic music productions ever made released courtesy of Burial Mix, Rhythm & Sound and Main Street, but the last twelve months have seen a rumbling of activity that has suggested that Techno is firmly back on the agenda at Kreuzberg's most famous address. Widely touted as a successor to Chain Reaction, Scion Versions is the latest Hardwax vessel (joining the impossibly cool ranks of Sleeparchive, MMM, Soundhack, Soundstream and so on) and has been greeted here with the kind of giddy excitement that happens once or twice a year and almost always when a new Basic Channel related item pops into existance.

Curated by Scion's Substance and Vainqueur (René and Pete to their mates) this first outing is worthy of all expectations - an absolutely immense double dose of space echo techno that could only have been penned and issued by someone who at one time or another worked deep inside Basic Channel's hallowed chambers. Anyway, i'm sure most of you will have clicked to buy this long before this little ramble reached its halfway point so for the few of you still with us - just buy it, it's just too good. capiche?
