HET nog niet OFFICIËLE DEAD RISING TOPIC!release - 08.09.06 - Dead Rising (Xbox 360)-STORYLINE-Dead Rising follows the harrowing adventures of Frank West, an overly zealous freelance photojournalist on a hunt for the scoop of a lifetime. The town he inhabits has become infested with bloodthirsty zombies and chaos reigns. This is his chance to cover the biggest story of them all…
In the pursuit of the perfect photograph Frank hitches a lift with a ‘chopper and makes his way to the local shopping mall – the perfect place to snap away and a bastion of safety to boot – and requests that the pilot returns in three days to pick him up.
But what started as a safe haven to capture the story from soon becomes the perfect place to die. The mall becomes engulfed with swarms of the shuffling undead and Franks begins his struggle to survive. Yes, he still has a story to cover and accolades to earn, but now there is a new focus in his life – to stay alive. The only thing in his favour is the mall itself: a huge, sprawling complex of shops that offers Frank a number of different weapons to defend himself with.
Throughout the next 72 hours, he must battle thousands of zombies and make a number of decisions... Should he ignore other stranded townsfolk in need of assistance and focus on getting his photography story? Or does he just try to rescue as many survivors as possible? What will it be? Time stops for no man and Frank can’t be in two places at once. The clock is ticking...
-FEATURES-- True next-gen gaming– battling hundreds of enemy at any one time is not possible without the power of the Xbox 360.
- Use your 72 hours (not actual 72 hours, but in-game hours) in the zombie mall as you see fit: do you ignore those in need of assistance and go after the story or put your job aside and rescue as many people as possible? Everything you do amounts to a choice that affects you and those around you.
- Close to 100 townsfolk have fled to the presumed safety of the shopping mall – you can rescue them all or choose to ignore them. Some are defenceless, scared to death of their impending doom whilst others have taken action and holed themselves up inside one of the many shops. Be warned – some of the survivors trust no one and can bring more trouble to Frank that the thousands of zombies.
- Missions are in the form of a collection of cases that Frank must solve. The case system is used to keep track of individual incidents in the game and adds another layer of gameplay for the player to tackle. Remember though that these cases can be ignored and stick to saving the survivors and staying alive until the helicopter returns.
- The “Scoop Cue” serves as a list of events that need your attention in the mall. Clues and hints come in over the radio in real time, adding more quests for Frank to attend to. This system puts pressure on the player to multitask and hone their decision-making skills.
- “Prestige Points” allows Frank to level up his skills and grow in strength and versatility as well as increase attack power, the length of the life bar, speed and agility and the amount of weapons Frank can carry. How to you acquire Prestige Points? By getting scoops, rescuing survivors and waging combat against the zombie hordes.
- There are over 120 shops within the mall for Frank to pillage from, containing over 250 items that can be used as weapons. Get shopping…
- The passing of time bring changes from day to night within the game. This affects not just the appearance on the environment, but also the actions that take place within: at night zombies increase in number and their behaviour changes as they become more aggressive and frightening. Do you find somewhere safe to hide until dawn or venture out during the dangerous night periode.
-DISK ERROR OPLOSSING-Hoewel het spel hier nog niet uit is, misschien makkelijk om er toch maar alvast bij te zetten

for anyone who has been having disk errors randomly throughout the game, i called xbox tech support and they're having alot of issues with dead rising currupting hard drives. to remedy this he told me to goto system blade, scroll down to memory and in the memory menu, hit Y. it should say rename and reformat... instead of choosing those, press x, x, LB, RB, x, x. the words system maintenance should pop up for a second...
