Het is de laatste tijd redelijk stil rondom PJ Harvey. Daarom vond ik het tijd voor een PJ Harvey topic.
Het laatste nieuws is dat ze binnenkort een concertregistratie DVD uitbrengt:

PJ HARVEY: FIRST EVER DVD RELEASE CONFIRMED
We are pleased to bring you exclusive news that the first ever PJ Harvey DVD will be released world-wide by Island Records on May 1st 2006 (May 23rd in the US) . Titled “PJ Harvey On Tour – Please Leave Quietly” and directed by Maria Mochnacz, it was filmed during the Uh Huh Her Tour and offers an intimate and insightful look into a world of touring, performing and travelling.
Having finished her seventh album Uh Huh Her in the autumn of 2003, Polly took to the road with a four-piece band. The collection of performances featured on PJ Harvey On Tour charts her journey through summer festivals, to her UK and European tour and on to the US in October 2004, creating a patchwork quilt of sights and sounds.
Live performances taken from the tour are combined with behind-the-scenes footage and material. Stage sets are constructed and dismantled, sound-checks take place and recording studios are explored. PJ Harvey shares her thoughts and feelings about the process of touring through unique video diary footage, giving a very personal account of life on the road.
Featuring two previously unreleased tracks, Uh Huh Her and E♥ol, the cameras are also on hand to capture contributions from crew members working on the tour, giving a complete picture of the day-to-day experience of touring. Extras include a unique 28 minute interview with Harvey which sees her share her thoughts on writing, recording and performing.

Ik kon ook geen PJ topic vinden, er is wel een redelijk goed gevuld 'Uh Huh Her' topic. PJ is uiterst koel overigens, heb haar twee gezien, twee keer fantastisch.

PJ 2 jaar geleden gezien in een bloeheet theater aan het Spui in Den Haag tijdens The Music in my head. Top avond! Toen deed ze dezelfde nummers als op de DVD, ben erg blij dat er nu eens een DVD uitkomt. Zou ook leuk zijn als Reeling with PJ op DVD zou komen.

Ben ook erg blij met het nieuws dat er een DVD aan komt! Heb haar 2 x gezien en allebei de keren was het super. Hoewel ik haar in de HMH toch een stuk leuker over vond komen dan op Lowlands.

Mooiste rariteit is misschien wel "Who will love me now". Weet iemand in welk kader dit nummer is opgenomen? Was toch geen soundtrack-track.
Ik vond het jammer dat "Uh Huh Her" niet als single op de cd staat, gelukkig had iTunes deze wel en ik heb een mooie opname van een concert in Parijs.

Ik vond Taut die avond erg goed. Het was echt een topconcert.

Ik was samen met een vriendin die PJ al meerdere malen live had gezien maar ze was helemal lyrisch over dit concert.
