No more snooker for Nottingham Sheriff?
Anthony Hamilton has stated he might never play professional snooker again after suffering the biggest defeat of his career at the hands of an in-form Mark Williams. Hamilton merely put one frame on the board, making the final scoreline 10-1 to Williams.
"I played awful snooker", says the man who is nicknamed "The Robin Hood of snooker", and who once had to pull out of a tournament after breaking his wrist trying to help out a friend who was being robbed. "Mark was playing great snooker but I missed all of my chances. I am really angry with myself for this disgusting performance."
"Good form in snooker is a bit like taking a sh*t", he goes on. "Some days it will come easy, some days it will come with a bit of work, some days it will come after a long time, and some days it will not come at all. I've been playing poorly all season so I see no reason to continue with this game next season and make a fool out of myself even more."
