How did you get together?
It’s complex and a little embarrassing, but it’s something we can kind of laugh about now, however hesitantly. Michael had this huge crush on Keith; like, huge. And of course Keith had been friends with Chris for a couple of years at this point and had always nursed this gigantic crush of his own toward Chris, but always in secret. Now, Chris had never really thought of Keith as anything more than a friend, a good friend with a great body, so nothing had ever really happened between them, excepting the occasional drunken round of mattress dancing (literally; we’re not using ‘mattress dancing’ as a sexual euphemism, we mean literally dancing — bouncing along to music — on a mattress or a set of adjoining mattresses). But so Chris, who had always been careful to keep things fraternal with Keith, developed this major huge crush on Michael soon after meeting him. So what you’ve got there is you’ve got your typical love triangle; a textbook example, in fact — perfect in its proportions, an isosceles love triangle, as experts in math would say. You see where this is going. There was only one way to avoid huge major hurt feelings, and that was for us to form a band.
How would you describe your fans?
Lucid, discerning people with amazing taste and salacious physiques.
How old are each of you and where are you each from?
Keith and Chris, the both have 52 years. Michael has 45 years, and has inhabited at Dallas, in the Texas. Keith has inhabited at Miami, in the Florida, and Chris has inhabited in the Utah.
How can people get your CDs and come see your shows?
Our new disc, With Love & Squalor, is out on Virgin Records in America, the UK, and France, and coming soon to the rest of the world, and later, when appropriate, to space. Guidance on finding this little treasure can be found on the Merch page. To see our shows a person has to leave their house, which is something we’re working around the clock to fix.

ik ben naar een optreden van ze geweest in de Effenaar, Eindhoven.
't is niet echt mijn muziek, maar het optreden was vlot, energiek en leuk.
sympathieke gasten ook, niet te beroerd om even een handtekening op je shirt te zetten ofzo.

What you need to realize if you don’t already is: the typical sink in the typical bathroom in the average club — be that club 200 capacity or 2000 — is a cramped little number. It’s a stingy little bowl. Very little clearance. Not at the Ekko. What a generous bowl! What a capacious scoop! What a magnanimous fucking basin! Here it is from straight on:

A man’s hands can practically get lost in there. Look at my hand stranded out there in the middle of that bowl! It recalls nothing so much as a nude figure trudging snowblind and flailing across a blizzard-swept tundral valley.
You’ve never felt manual vertigo till you’ve held your hands out there over the basin of the sink in the public toilet at the Ekko in Utrecht.

Een van m'n favo bandjes van het moment! Vooral hun openingsnummer -nobody move, nobody get hurt- is geniaal!

Ik vind het zonder te overdrijven een vd beste nummers van 2005 en de rest vd cd is idd wat minder geweldig, maar daarentegen hebben ze wel weer hun ongelofelijk foute imago meequote:Op zaterdag 25 maart 2006 18:45 schreef MaJo het volgende:

Het is ook niet zo dat ik de cd echt heel slecht vind (great escape bijvoorbeeld) maar vergeleken bij Nobody move, nobody hurt (welke briljant is ) is het toch een stuk minder. Ik lees net in OOR dat We are Scientists bij Motel Mozaïque optreden in Rotterdam op 14 april!!! Staan nog veel meer bandjes maar heb nog niet gekeken (haast enzo) Kaarten kosten 26 euro en ze treden op van 23.45 tot 00:45, beetje laat maar ik wil ze wel graag zien
