Waarom vind je Nike als naam beter dan Floortje? Of Nike zo'n originele naam is, is trouwens maar de vraag. Het is het Griekse woord voor 'overwinning', net als het Latijnse Victoria, dus wat dat betreft zou het een mooie naam zijn voor een winnares van Idols. Maar het lijkt me knap vervelend als je Nike heet en mensen spreken je naam steeds verkeerd uit en brengen die in verband met een schoenenfabrikant. Ik vind Floortje dan een veel mooiere naam, en die is ook origineler omdat die naam buiten het Nederlandse taalgebied niet voorkomt. Floortje ('bloempje') klinkt niet als de naam van een winnares of een artiest natuurlijk, maar des te leuker is het als ze wél wint.

Ik vind Nike trouwens echt een achterlijke lompe naam! Zo noem je je kind toch niet?
