Jacek Rutkowski the chairman of Amica Wronki, and Radosław Majchrzak the chairman of Lech Poznań, signed a preliminary agreement, about Amica holding investment in the club from Poznań.
New teams name will be KKS Lech Poznań. There are a few conditions under which the investment will take place- says Jacek Rutkowski. These are: License given to Lech by PZPN, cooperation with the city, and positive decision from Amica’s board. We want this city to have a great football, on this stadium under Lech’s brand- adds Radosław Majchrzak.
The preliminary agreement says about selling the non-material assets. This means selling to Amica holding rights to use the name “Lech Poznań” right to use the logo, and any kind of branding connected with Lech. Both sides agreed that their current teams will finish the season 2004/05 as the are and from the season 2005/2006 the new team will play as KKS Lech Poznań, in the tradiotional colours of Lech and on Poznań’s stadium.
