'Jonge allochtonen', maar dan in het Engels?

Non-autochthon youth?

Een allochtoon is niet altijd een immigrant, dus "immigrants" is niet de juiste vertaling.

Voor wat we in Nederland "allochtonen van de tweede generatie" noemen, ofwel kinderen van immigranten (95% van de straatmarokkaantjes dus die in Nederland zijn geboren) kun je het beste deze vertaling gebruiken:

Native-born Foreigners.

Je kunt daar al naar gelang de context natuurlijk nog "Young" voor zetten.

Hypothetisch Voorbeeld:

In The Netherlands, some minorities have difficulty adapting to Dutch life. In particular, young native-born foreigners from Moroccan and Turkish decent have this difficulty changing from their parent's strict, conservative and often religious lifestyles to the modern Dutch society, and a higher crime rate in this group has been the unfortunate result as they aren't fully accepted by Dutch society, and they don't want to follow their parents ways.

Ik heb maar even snel een paar regels neergelrabbeld zonder feiten te checken trouwens. Maar het gaat om de vertaling dus

Bij Natives denk ik al snel aan indianen

Engels heeft volgens mij geen expliciet woord voor allochtoon, alhoewel hier en daar mensen wel eens 'allochton'

schrijven, maar het gaat daar vooral om nederlandse schrijvers...
'Autochthon' bestaat wel in het engels, maar is niet echt een normaal woord maar is wel gebruikelijk binnen

engelstalige biologische wetenschappelijke literatuur.
Beste vertaling lijkt me dus toch nog steeds Non-autochton, of andersidd nonnative oid. Probleem bij native is dat

je de plaats van herkomst van native bij voorkeur moet aanduiden. Dus allochtone jeugd:
Non-autochton youth, of
Dutch nonnative youth. _{maar dat laatste gaat wederom voorbij aan niet-nederlandse allochtonen)}
